[Who could ever resist the tempting prospect of a good fried chicken?
...at least, that's what Alhaitham had said to his husband when asked why he chose this particular job off the notice board. Or at least something to that extent. How true that really is though, well. That's something which perhaps the greater world may never know.
(The fried chicken is really, really good though. That much he can attest to—its half the reason why he'd even recognized the name of Colonel Cluckbeard in the first place, after all.)
Still, no matter how delicious fried chicken can be, having to constantly smell all of those eleven herbs and spices (whatever they are) isn't exactly something that's as enticing as its made out to be, especially with how strong they are. Which is why Alhaitham has long since retreated to one of the balconies, where the smell isn't as thick and cloying, and any bit of fresh air that he can have gives some much needed reprieve.]
