The glare doesn't seem to faze her. It can't be too surprising that it doesn't considering she did seem to find it fine to giggle at strangers.

His threat might sound dire but apparently it didn't to the dragon. Maria couldn't be mad over it if the dragon wasn't but she could be a little teasing. The fellow was far more composed than her brother but his threats seemed almost as harmless ... if the dragon's judgement could be trusted.

Reaching into her pocket she produces a stick of jerky. She hadn't been sure whether the dragon would be tempted by meat or not but she had the feeling they might be. It was worth a try so she approaches Daqiang and then looks straight past him to the dragon perched on his head.

"Well before he pulls you apart apparently why don't you come down here and try this out instead."

She holds the bit of jerky up now, giving it an enticing wiggle.
