[ All bark and no bite, this one. She only giggles at his response, dismissing his threat completely. At present, he lacks every bit of intimidation. As for the frustration he seems to express... she has half a mind to tease careful, you sound emotional, but decides against it. Something tells her that that sort of jest won't land with him. That, and there's no way he's actually frustrated. That'd be a weakness.


By the time Rem reaches the end of the tunnel, she's pieced together how the fire she'd seen coming from him earlier now enchants each of her steps. Rather than being a simple key chain, he's a magical charm! This knowledge involving the augmentation he provides will be useful, should they encounter the rat king again. With that in mind, she's going to keep him tucked in her bodice. ]

[ If the structure was more modern, she'd have guessed that any canal system within a fortress was used as either sewage or a coolant for a reactor. But no. This is a toy castle.

Rem moves to the door, pressing her ear against it. From beyond its wooden fame, she hears frantic, frustrated squeaking. ]
Our priority is the xylophone. [ She looks down at Dongfang. ] And you seemed to be much more unaffected by it than me. [ She is the clockwork ballerina, in this case, and that instrument makes others dance. ] If we take the Pirat king head-on, we have to do so as quickly as possible.
