[Daria was feeding some of the snowbats with properly nutritious pellets. As much as she wasn't social, she didn't mind animals and was gentle with them. This made a somewhat small group of them follow her around as she went about some other business. She heard a SLAM sound from the tree this boy was standing at, and it startled the bats immediately around her.
She was right there, and she yelped in some shocked.
She was sure to collect herself fast, looking at the work soon soon enough.]
