[Meanwhile, Zack feels himself floating. It feels like he's floating on an endless ocean of black water, like a void that's about ready to swallow him up. He only floats for a while before suddenly sinking, a flourish of bubbles escapes his lungs as he tries to keep his breath inside his chest. Sinking down and down into the depths of nothingness... For a moment it almost feels peaceful. Almost like he's ready to give up and let it all float away. He feels strange fingers around his throat that aren't there. And the next thing he knows he's fighting, lashing out and gripping at his throat, desperately trying to breathe.
