[Kaveh's touch does bring about some measure of comfort for Alhaitham, though certainly nowhere near enough to dispel the queasiness completely. At some point Alhaitham ends up having to close his eyes when even the act of looking feels like too much, focusing on his breathing instead to try and squash the growing discomfort.
