Daqiang moves his hand away and leans back, watching. Senses focused on the spiritual presence of the man and only somewhat on the other presences around them. It was still weak, but it wasn't weakening as Rem tried to heal the injury that could not be seen.

"He is still here," he murmured, "do not take his lack of reaction as meaning he is gone."
