Rock candy is made by allowing sugar to crystalize around the stick, and thus build up looking as if they were made of crystal -or rock- to be enjoyed as such. It can be made in various colors and flavors, but otherwise appear the same.

[He could pull upon a memory of it being a very fun 'experiment' for young children- and some adults alike f they wanted to try to get more creative with flavor and color. A simple treat.
