Quest SPECIAL: Archive Research

....A great flood? [ Rem tilts her head at the tome, squinting her eyes. She's not skeptical, no, as anyone can see that this world is oceans as far as one can see, and a "great flood" definitely explains it. However, she is looking at the text as if merely frowning at it would get it to reveal its secrets. 

She flips the page, then another, and then another. She flips back to the previous one. Then back to the one she's on, frown deepening with concern. While Rem can't be certain, perhaps her research buddy (you!) can shed more light.  ] Does this look as if it's missing a page to you? 

[ If it's missing, the perpetrators did an excellent job tampering with the book. If it's not, then that's a rather suspicious and jarring break from the previous paragraph to a new chapter.

A. Pearls. She taps her finger on the page."Soo... they seem pretty dangerous. I don't know about your world, but do ancient beings typically leave things like this around?"

B. Nine Powers. This may or may not include a dreamy sigh. "Maybe it's more metaphorical-- or, oh, poetic powers... Like love and hope... "

Quest SPECIAL: Underwater Ruins

[ Logically, the mention of a great flood would mean that more secrets are waiting to be discovered beneath the ocean's surface. It's rather convenient that the whirlpool that transforms people into merfolk is still around, because Rem would have struggled to come up with a way to explore these ruins while underwater!  So here she is below the surface once again, shimmering fishtail and all! (And for a top, she's wearing the same one in which she was posted to the hot or not compliment-a-friend meme.)
 
Also, what's a little adventure without a little banter? ] Are you ready to make some waves? [ Get it.

Passing beneath a coral-covered arch of the ruins, she smiles in your direction, not only excited to be exploring, but happy to have someone to explore with her, regardless of what treasure or information. These days, finding something of importance feels further and further beyond her reach. But spending time with those she cares about? Those she's exploring with, strangers or otherwise? These days, indeed, every moment counts. ]
