In the end the seahorse kicks up more speed and does a quick dive under so that they can leap out to surge ahead, a large splash from the shallow water around the same time as the small one bumps into Tifa's.
But also though they pull ahead, Eustace reins the seahorse back to make it's swerve in the shallows. Not that it could go much further with the water as low as it is. At first he was concerned, but seeing her laughing... There's some relief that she's unharmed.
With the race effectively over, he'll slide off the back of the seahorse, allowing it to join the other two as he moves over to Tifa.]
