He's surprised by the tightening of her grip, can feel a different air between them now after what he confessed. Not that he said anything directly, but he said enough that most anyone could assume that he was under someone powerful's thumb. He ignores the ache that comes from the grip, not minding it in the slightest, it was minor compared to so much.
Her words hit home though, because he doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to.. well to some degree. There was an expectation of some participation with the corsairs, even this dance, to get his sight back he is forced to dance, but he doesn't mind it in this moment, not when it sounds as if she speaks from some kind of experience. Was she also a slave to something? Did she too suffer as he had? Did the sirens know then when they pushed them together? It was curious, but he feels she understands, he feels he might too.
"Indeed, there is much for us to explore and experience with so much freedom at our fingertips. Know that I too am here for you," he gives a nod in return, though she can't see it, she might hear it in his voice, feel it in how it displaces the air around them.
"And I am Fenris, it's a pleasure to meet you, Aerith," he can hear how she beams in the way her voice sounds. He wonders if her smile is as beautiful as it sounds to his ears.
But the song was coming to an end and he could feel the edges of his vision returning. He would not wonder long most likely. "It would seem our dance is coming to a close."
