[ Zelda gasps as Darin suddenly jerks her away from him, holding her at arm's length like she burns. (Which, in a way, she does. They both do.) Her face is downright scarlet, all the way to the tips of her long ears, and she feels strangely out of breath.
Abruptly separated from his warmth, her senses come rushing back to her all at once. Her eyes dart to Darin's, where she finds the same flushed and guilty look as her own, and then promptly dart away. Goddess above, what was that? Zelda hesitates for a moment, fidgeting her hands in front of her, both reluctant and in a hurry to leave. Oh Goddess, should she say something about what just happened? Apologize? Or should she just say nothing and pretend she wasn't just about to kiss him (and maybe more)?
One more guilty glance up at him... and then hastily averted. ] I- I- I will go, then. Th-thank you for cleaning up.
[ And with that, Zelda turns and forces herself to walk like normal back to her bedroom, where the washroom is connected. Thank Hylia the water is always cold-- she's never needed it more than right now. ]
