OPEN | A Return To Snaxburg ππ
Status:Who: Professor Turo & You
Status: Open
Where: Snaxburg Isle
What: A return to Snaxburg, all in a hope to find a cure for those who have ingested too many of the Bugsnax Parasites.
Warnings: Freaky food parasites. Any others needed will be added
The Island's Shore
[Turo had his bag hauled over a shoulder, looking towards the tree line as he moved across the sand; a few variations of crapples skittering away to hide either beneath the sand or odd structures made of driftwood that had washed ashore. Several pineatulas dashing into a few bush-like plants sticking out of the sands as well, right past a more unusual 'flowering' plant. The island was as populated with life as ever- but there was something that felt a little off.
Different.
As if being watched, scrutinized.
--and it wasn't just due to the snaquiri that kept popping up from a nearby geyser's hot spring either.]
... They are purposefully letting themselves be seen before running.
[Had they been waiting? At least his writing to open the island up to those wishing to further research it and the bugsnax meant he'd been notified of the go-ahead; even if the reason was deeply unfortunate.]
Waterfalls & Ruins
I.
[There was a trek through the forested area to one Turo remembered having waterfalls. Hidden tunnels within the rockface and various strange carvings and statues of Bugsnax and other beings that might have once been.
It was down an unexplored tunnel that had gone into a different biome that Turo was in, a magitech flashlight he'd been working on in handβ]
Oh.
[βthe light shining upon a carving that rubble had shifted away from.]
II.
[In the snow and cold that covered part of the island, Turo had Iron Moth hovering nearby to help provide warmth. Even with a scarf that was a darker shade of purple and heavier coat on, it was best to be prepared for others.
Even if simply standing before some ruin's entrance as he looked over the statues and the large door itself.]
... I wonder if-
[He couldn't help but picture some terrible ceremony likely happening behind those doors, given the recent carvings he had seen.]
The Undersnax of Snaxburg
[It had been abrupt and unceremonious the first time that Turo had found himself 'underground' when it came to this island. Better prepared now, he had descended into the depths, avoiding the gathered liquid that seemed to both pool and flood the winding tunnel-paths.
A hand lifting to stop anyone down there with, stilling as something moved, then vanished into the 'ground' just aheadβ]
We should not go any deeper, just gather samples from the walls. Perhaps some of the liquid as well.
[Didn't want to test if whatever else was down here could be far more dangerous than the creatures above.]
Wildcard π
(OOC: Bring your own mix and match of a starter, or mix and match anything above! Feel free to hit me up via PM, through the game's discord, or
Leicon if you want to plot something in particular out.)
