Daqiang gave a non-committal hum and turned away to walk up the trail to the top of the cliff. He didn't trust anyone, really, but other than hoping to humiliate a stranger that happens to be nominally aligned to the Corsairs, Red had reason not to perform his part of the 'quest'. Particularly if he was interested in the otamatone as Daqiang was.
Dongfang Qingcang made his way up the trail on foot. His pace was not leisurely, but neither was it rushed. He spent the walk studying the cliffs and the water below to judge whether he would have to actually jump to clear the rocks at the bottom, or if he could simply let himself fall off the edge. When he reached the top, he had decided it would probably be better to simply float out a few paces from the edge and let himself drop.
At the cliff's edge, he looked down to see if Red was in position.
