[ It's not every man who would take a blow for stranger. Holland certainly isn't that kind of man, though he's surprised that Fenris is. He'd been too distracted watching Fenris' attack -- the way the brands on the man's skin had glowed, and how his arm had simply pressed inside its torso like a ghost through solid matter. By the time he'd noticed the last creature, he had all but assumed he'd have to contend with another wound before getting out of this. Now Fenris is the one sporting a wound.

Ridiculous. What a strange thing to do. Holland may not get it, but he won't let Fenris' attempt be in vain, either. ]

I always have more tricks.

[ It's simple, with focus. And this being their last target, he can direct his full attention on the creature. It was difficult to place where its heart might be, where the flow of blood was most vital, but Fenris' attack gives Holland a good enough idea. He doesn't need to direct the magic, not really. With just a look, he pins this creature like he had the other, bones and flesh and skin his to command. The beast hisses and growls, but its limbs only shake with effort against Holland's magic. ]

Lucky you dodged its fangs.

[ Raising a hand and forcing his will on the elements around them, Holland pulls the shards of ice from earlier into a thin, narrow spear. A spear he drives through its chest with a flick of his wrist. The creature gurgles and chokes, the spear splitting into shards once again to finish off whatever will remains in it. With his magic, he can feel the fight slowly die from it.

It's done, in other words. Holland turns away, staring back at Fenris with his single green eye and the void of black that make up Holland's uneven gaze. ]

It's not quite dead yet, but it'll hold. Let me see your wound.
