An interesting side-effect, though more of a party trick than anything. Though I could see it being of use in a difficult situation.
[ He dispels one portal and puts it further away, so that they're no longerwobbling but are still 'facing' each other vertically. The coin's duplicate, spawned by the portal's...malfunction? also goes soaring upward at an alarming speed.
That's a 'couple of comments later' problem, probably.
