I knew some, but admittedly, outside of them being good at hunting I have had little else interactions with such creatures. But they are not oft kept as pets but by those of substantial means.

[Cats were more utilitarian than being kept as a pet. Not that it didn't happen, sometimes a cat could be both, but most do not feed cats to encourage them to hunt and feed themselves. Other than the wealthy, but they are of the kind to do as they please regardless of common practice.
