What: Chopper goes shopping, checks out local medical facilities/supplies?

[Chopper is excited to go ashore again and have a look for supplies. He has a list! He's wandering, exploring, and trying to stick to just what is on the list. He's checking it as he walks and might accidentally bump into someone as he walks reading it. He is at least tiny enough in his default toddler-sized form that he probably didn't knock over whoever it was??]

Ah! Sorry! I should be paying more attention. Are you okay?

b:

[He has found something on the list! Problem is that it is higher up than his toddler-sized form can reach. Actually.....a lot of things are probably out of reach for him in his current form. He stretches, trying to get at something that is on a higher shelf. He's not yet immediately transforming to his taller form because he is stubborn and thinks he is so close, that he can manage by himself.]

Hmmmm. It's not on the list. But....

[He kind of might be tempted by some clothes. A new shirt. A new hat. Maybe. Obviously the hat would need to be altered to fit his ears and antlers. Maybe a couple of holes cut into it. Chopper gets distracted from the list as he checks around, explores and wanders, finding more stalls, more shops and options.]

I wonder if they have this in a smaller size?

I'm sure there's somewhere around here I can find more medical texts or supplies....where was it again?

[Chopper wonders, more speaking aloud wondering to himself, more than that he is actually talking to anyone else that might be passing by and overhear. He glances, his ears shifting as he tries to follow the map, as he checks what stores might be around nearby, trying to remember where it was he had found some things previously.]

[Darin's keeping a bit of a low profile on Eltrut. Ever since his arrest a couple of weeks ago, hanging around the busy marketplace is a bad idea for someone as tall and easily identifiable as Darin is. Which is why he's currently wearing a tattered cloak and hood to hide his vibrant blue hair. Because, you know, that's totally normal and not going to draw attention.]

[He has a destination in mind, but he's lurking. He can't just go up to his forge to check in on it so easily, people were bound to recognize him.]

[So, when Darin's leg gets bumped into from behind, he immediately whips around.]

[At 6'3" and clearly built like someone dangerous, Darin probably is not making the best first impression.]

Whoa! Gods, you scared me!

[Chopper says, instinctively a bit more intimidated given the other being so much bigger. Taller. The hood and all. But then. Well, most everyone is taller than he is. In this form, at least. He glances up to the other, getting back to his feet and picking his list back up.]

(A strange grey three gingered hand will reach right over Chopper's head and grab the object before offering it to him.)

Greetings.

(Legion is six and a half feet tall. They tower over just about everyone. They also have a big glowing eye for a face, and it's focused on you, Chopper.)

[Chopper is about to thank the other, when he glances....up....and sees the robot. It isn't that all robots are scary. But Legion is rather tall. And has an intimidating appearance. For all that Chopper would usually otherwise be easily enamoured and curious.]

Than -- aaaah?

[Cue Chopper instinctively backing away and attempting to hide behind some nearby shelves. He attempts to hide, that is. He rather fails at it though.]

[That's a ... that's a child. In an animal costume. At least, that's what he thinks, after glancing over briefly. Garrus' got his own set of bags, out for a resupply for the apartment. He shuffles them to one arm, then takes a step closer to the "child".]

[The advantage to being seven feet tall. You can just reach out and grab whatever it was the "kid" wanted.]

Yes! That one! Thank.....you....?

[Considering his height (toddler-sized) and his voice, one might easily mistake him for being younger. Which he is, but he is fifteen! So he isn't that young. Chopper pauses as he reaches to take the item before glancing....up....

Garrus is so tall!! Sorry, Chopper just kind of. Stares. He's used to tall people, and rather unique appearances back home but even so. Garrus is still rather unique.]

[Sorry, little guy. He's ... very, very tall. At least he's not shopping while wearing armor, that would just make things worse.]

[He looks down. That's - hm. Okay, so this isn't a human child in a costume, then. His head tilts to one side, thoughtfully. But it doesn't matter, really. It's probably some local.]

Everything all right?

Y-yes! I'm okay. Um, thank you!

[Chopper stares up at the other. Even without the armor, at the least, he is a little intimidating. Partly because Chopper has never seen anyone like him before and partly because of the height. Not that Chopper wasn't used to being around others who were taller than him, that was pretty much expected, given his default form was so short.]

I just....haven't seen you before? I'm still getting to know everyone, I guess.

[With a lot of understanding in the sound. Yeah, all right. He does look a bit intimidating to random people.]

Well. Nice to meet you, in any case. Garrus Vakarian. [He'd offer a handshake but that might... well. He has talons. The little guy looks antsy enough.]

Yeah, I wasn't exactly expecting someone to sneak up on me. I'm trying to keep a low profile.

[Something Darin is famously bad at.]

...You alright? You look a little lost.

O-oh! Right. I'm Chopper! Tony Tony Chopper.

[Chopper says, introducing himself in teturn. He's going to instinctively offer his tiny hoof in greeting, the one not holding the item that Garrus reached for and got for him. He still needs to pay for it, so he didn't put it in his little backpack just yet.]

I was not sneaking. I'm just small. So people don't usually see me at first.

[He is used to that. He just tries to figure why the other might be trying to keep a low profile. And yet he's dressed like that with the hood and all. That kind of draws more attention to him?]

Not lost. Just trying to remember where it was, I got that medical textbook from the last time I was here. I'm a doctor, so I gave to learn more about this place in case there are any diseases I might not be familiar with back home.

[Okay then. Handshake it is. This is a little awkward with their height difference, but he'll make it work.]

Your parents around here somewhere?

[Sorry Chopper... You seem like you're a good kid, but a kid nonetheless.]

Parents? Ah....no. No, they're back at Drum Island. And the other reindeer all shunned me. It's just me from home. The rest of the crew are back home.

[He just can't easily point out anyone else around here. Sorry, Garrus. He's older than he looks, but he is also still the youngest of his crew back home at fifteen. Chopper tries to reassure the other that he is alright.]

But it is okay. I'm just checking for some supplies. Medical texts, some clothes and any first aid supplies. That sort of thing.

[Well that is. A lot to process. A whole lot to process. Most important of all, what the hell is a reindeer?]

That uh. That's rough.

Medical supplies? Someone hurt?

It's okay. I have a new crew! That is, with Zelda.

[Chopper exclaims, trying to reassure the other. He is well aware that he looks like a toddler, but he is more capable than he might appear. He glances up at the other, shaking his arms while still holding onto his item.]

Nobody's hurt! I'm a doctor. So I just want to make sure there's plenty of supplies just in case.

[Why is this conversation taking so many abrupt turns.]

Zelda? You're part of our crew?

[His head pulls back a bit, mandible flaring up off his jaw in surprise. This is... a kid. This is a kid who is claiming he's a doctor. And yet? The captain hired him on?]

I... have to admit, that's not what I expected to hear.

[Do they finally have a medic? Why is he a tiny animal child.]

[Chopper says with a nod, raising one hoof, with his arm that has the tattoo of the sakura petal. He's certainly enthusiastic and confident even if he might be still learning. About a lot. About the medical situations here.]

What did you expect to hear?

Yeah, I am. She's already found you?

[That's not really surprising. Not in the face of a small animal child being a medical professional. On the other hand, their crew is pretty ragtag already. Maybe this shouldn't be a surprise.]

Honestly? I'm not sure at this point. The crew's already a floating circus half the time anyway.

She did! A....floating circus?

[He blinks, unsure what to make of that description. He's used to some chaos. He is with the Straw Hats back home. It kind of comes with the territory of having the likes of Luffy as a captain. And having the rest of the crew together. He's just not sure if he has heard them described in such a way before. But he is newer to this place in comparison to a lot of others. He just wanted to help. And Zelda had mentioned she was wanting to do just that, with medical staff and supplies.]

Affectionate nickname. It's not an actual circus.

[Maybe he should have clarified that beforehand. An actual circus would be intimidating for a kid to sign onto.]

There's just some ah. Colorful personalities.

Oh. I was going to say I do love cotton candy they have at things like that.

[Chopper has always been used to figuring out how to deal with colourful personalities. If nothing else, being in the Straw Hats has helped with that sort of thing. Chopper is used to rather unique personalities and situations. To say the least.]

I can handle that. Trust me.

(Oh. Well, that's familiar, if a little disheartening.

This organic is exceedingly small. They crouch down in an attempt to look less intimidating.)

This unit does not intend to cause harm.

.....You...don't?

[Well. It isn't like he doesn't know some robot types. If Franky back home counts. He's just not quite as....intimidating, appearance-wise. Still, Chopper blinks as the other shifts to crouch down to his level. The reindeer still remains 'hiding' near the aisles. But he is still peering out and hiding the wrong way around.]

It is pretty cool to meet a robot...

Yeah, we definitely don't have candy. Sorry.

[They don't even have a doctor. Or, they didn't. Now they have... what seems like one, except for the "tiny animal child" part.]

[That... he is not sure how to process completely.]

I hope so. Some of them are a little... [He wobbles a hand back and forth.] ... Interesting.
