[It's hard for Cid to tell from the distance and the smoke whether Shadow was hit or not, and seeing the hedgehog still move doesn't really confirm anything other than if he were hit, at least he can still move. For now, Cid focuses on completely dismantling the device, using both the spear and his sword to cut through the molten metal and wires before able to kick it over completely. It's a bit of work, but he manages before Shadow returns.]
