Who: ren amamiya and whomstever else

What: manta quests, event stuff, etc
Warnings: general violence against monsters, thoughts of being arrested

1. LEAP OF FAITH (manta board)

[ unfortunately for ren, he's always been a bit of a daredevil- an adrenaline junkie- and it's only gotten worse as time goes on. which is to say... of course he immediately signed up for the leap of faith. apparently this is supposed to be some kind of... good-will-creating-team-spirit-event or something, but ren doesn't really care about that (even if he finds himself naturally suspicious of most paladins in general.) nor does he care about the otamatome (even if it does remind him a little painfully of some friends he's already missing.)

that is to say, what he cares about is jumping off a big cliff and hopefully looking super cool while doing it. ]

You wanna go first? [ he asks, being polite- and though he sounds and looks nonchalant and calm standing there with his hands in his pockets, there's an excited glint in his eyes that he can't quite hide. ]

2. GALLOWS GAMBIT (manta board)

[ another day, another arrest.

ren's pretty sure if he gets one more punch on his card, the next one's free.

this isn't his first time in handcuffs, but it is sort of his first time in a gallows like this... and while it is the second time death is the promised outcome if he doesn't get out, the hanging noose is a little more ominous somehow.

he tries to surreptitiously adjust his wrists, keeping an eye out in his peripheral vision for anyone noticing the movement. okay, a little... tight. he doesn't love that, but it's not... impossible. right? right!

he'll keep telling himself that.

after a moment of wriggling, he glances at the person next to him. as much as ren doesn't love being arrested and threatened with hanging... he also hates the idea of other innocent (or, mostly innocent) people caught up in the same thing, so... ]

Hey. How's it going? [ he offers, trying to sound casual. ]

3. COOKOFF! (event)

[ alright, now this is something ren can totally do. a cookoff was a perfectly normal thing to do... where he could still try and show off and win.

(plus, he honestly just misses cooking for people already.)

at the moment he's gathering up ingredients and trying to decide what to make, an almost manic gleam in his eyes even as the rest of his face remains neutral. he gives a small nod towards the person next to him, gesturing to their left. ]

Hand me that pepper, please?

4. MONSTER HUNT - PEXEO (event)

[ a creature that can be dangerous if attacked, that has feathers that can be plucked without killing it.. oh, that sounded fun and like something that required a sort of finesse and skill that ren really, really hopes he can pull off.

he'll be super ashamed if not.

the thing is, though- as sneaky and agile as he is and as confident as he is that'll help with actually picking the feathers... he's not super used to actually hunting. it wasn't like fishing, where you just kind of sat there. you had to sort of... know the area, know signs of animals or, like, whatever- and just because he grew up in the country doesn't mean he automatically knows anything like that.

was it towards civilization that moss grew? shit.

that said, he decides to try and put together a team! ...or at least find one other person to help him. ]

Excuse me, [ he tries, attempting a disarming smile. ] are you familiar with tracking animals or anything like that?
