Heart Break Hotel

[ Growing up as the twin sister of Donald Duck means that Della is pretty used to scrapes. In fact, she's come to enjoy them (especially when she wins!) so when she heard the odd request for a good old-fashioned brawl, she eagerly headed on over to kick some tail. But now that she's here, how best to start it? It needs to get EVERYONE involved, so she needs something that will ignite a lot of hearts at once. She cups her beak, contemplative. ]

... Do 'yo mama' jokes still work in this realm?

A Stink To Remember

[ Last month, Della got a lot of good rewards ~~because her mun finally remembered to cash those in~~ so she feels confident taking on something a bit more risky. She's got two swords on her belt, along with flintlock pistol, armor for her chest and neck, bubble shield, so on and so forth. She's merrily whistling as she suits up, taking on this task with all the cheer a normal person would have for a causal sunday stroll. ]

So, what are you thinking? Attack it head-on with a blitz? Or split up, one person as bait and the other goes for the heavy hits?

Paint The Town Roygbiv

[ Della is talented in many ways - artistry isn't one of them. But she doesn't mind sucking at this! Instead of using the paintbrushes, she's decided to dip her fingers in and draw stick-figures of her family, all colors of the rainbow. (Here's hoping that paint isn't permanent.) Blue for Dewey, red for Huey, and green for Louie, naturally. ]

All right, let's see... stick with red and black for the old man... might use some dark blue for bro... obviously gotta use ALL the greens for Gladstone...

Ink It Til You Make It

[ Digging for inking supplies? Sounds simple. But there's one little problem... what about all the dirt, bugs, roots, etc, that you dig up and don't need? Where do they go?

She doesn't know and doesn't care! She's just so eager to get her muscles moving with her shovel that she's not really paying attention to WHERE the dirt flies once it's behind her. And it may go FLYING, since she's a bit stronger than she looks. Suppose it would be a little weird to say 'duck'? ]

Eggscort Duty

[ She's a duck. She's laid three eggs. Of course she's going to be on Protective Egg Duty. And she intends to protect these eggs with her very life!

... But she is also getting distracted with Mom Emotions, as she can't help but coo and fawn over the massive eggs. Take advantage, or watch in dawwww? ]

Awww, whose a cute widdle eggy-weggy? I bet you just can't wait to get out of there, huh? The world can't wait for you either! And don't you worry, Mama - er, Auntie Della is gunna make sure you're all niiiiice and saaaaafe and waaaaarm, you perfect widdle angels~!

More Things We Do For Cheese

[ Last month, Della and Kieran had come upon the treasure of cheeses, and split it in half. So when she reads about this little update... oops. Hope the big fella doesn't mind she's been snacking on what's been stolen.

Still, best to right this wrong1 With her half of the treasure (or what half-bitten parts remains of it, anyway) she sets out to find Big Bird. ]

Sooo... out of curiosity... do you think these types of monsters understand words? ... Or at least apologies?

Cat Kneads - Closed To Ranma Saotome

[ A thief on the loose? Not for long, when you have the dynamic duo of Della and Ranma! ... Okay this is pretty low-stakes for both of them, but Della's low on cash and welcomes the assist. But she'd gotten the quest written down by a third party, and it's gotten smudged in some places. Ah well, shouldn't be too difficult, right? It's just a common thief, whose weaknesses are cats, if she's reading that right. Maybe the thief can bond with cat-coward Ranma?

On to the task at hand! Della is hiding from across the street, staking out the area. ]

From what I've been able to gather, it's a pretty short thief... flexible too. Able to squeeze in and out of tight places with little problem. So when we grab 'em, we gotta grab 'em tight!

[ she loves things like this, a little violence goes a long way, and she's pretty strong to take advantage of this. the issue with their captain means nothing to her, but that doesn't mean when the suggestion of a brawl comes up that she's going to question it, instead, she's going to sucker punch one guy right in his face sending him to the other side of the room.

if della doesn't move, she might get caught flying with them, but she'll hear a familiarly loud voice soon after. ]

What's this? Am I surrounded by weaklins' or is anyone gunna show me a good time?

[ the tenrec jumps onto the table, confident in herself as she looks at he variety of people within the tavern. it's when her eyes spot a familiar duck that she chuckles, whistling in interest. ]

I want to take you down second!

[Fenris has seen ducks before. But he's never seen a duck like this before. A human-ish sized duck that talks like and acts like an adult woman is more close to a horror of some mage's creation than a normal occurence in Thedas.

Staring is rude. He knows it is. But the elf, on his way to do some other random or menial task he's been given, can't help but stop and stare.]

[ She's used to the stares, to be honest. She knows she's a rarity. So after a few more cooing and dawing... ]

So, buddy, any questions you wanna pop, or just settling for a quick memory?

[Fenris’ body tenses at her acknowledgement. His cheeks heat up- how embarrassing, to be caught staring. Normally his response would be to make himself small, or disappear. But, it’s too late for that.]

Ah- I-

[He clears his throat.]

I suppose I am still adjusting to the people I come across in this world. Thedas- or, where I am from- doesn’t exactly have any talking.. ducks..

[ Della does manage to duck (hohoho) in time, but when she lifts her head to see who started the chaos, she blanches. Oh... gee... her favorite person... ]

Hang on. Is Kitsunami here with you? I'm not throwing any punches or kicks if that kid is in the crosshairs!

[ She doesn't appear insulted or annoyed - instead, she just chuckles. She stands up, revealing that one of her legs is metal? ]

And where I'm from, we don't have any of you either. No worries!

[ She extends a friendly hand to shake. ]

Name's Della Duck!

None of ya business.

[ when she drops down, the downtrodden individual coughs, looking off to the side at the one sailor that went thump into the wall. as they get up, they're already walking back the same direction they went flying, even pushing della out the way into another person so that they can square up with surge.

the tenrec ignores them, slipping between the person's legs as she walks over to where della is. as for who got an armful of della to keep her up straight before crashing to the floor, "listen, wee duck, this ain't no place for ya. they'll step on ye flippers and then you'll be cryin' at home for a nurse." ]

Ohhh!! They said you gotta go back to the playground!

Blahblahblah, don't got time for you.

[ That's said for the sailor, with Della not even looking at him and making a 'yapyapyap' motion with her hand. Let's see, Kitsunami is usually attached to the hip to Surge, but just to be safe... ]

Alley-oop!

[ She hops onto a table - definitely pushing drinks and guys aside on purpose - and uses that to hop onto the startled shoulders of another guy, and uses THAT to grab onto a dangling light from the ceiling. There we go, now she can get a better look...

Hmmm. No sign of any blue adorable foxes. All is well. ]

Okay, now I feel better~!

[ With that, she lets go of the light, allowing herself to drop... and to elbow drop onto any unfortunate soul right beneath her. ]

Oh! Here we go, Chick tryna act like a saint, when she isn't! You always fake it for kids 4 times younger your age?

[ surge doesn't know how old della is, but mom's are typically old, aren't there? she could be pushing 55... the tenrec laughs as she watches the woman look around for kit, and once her survey of the land is over, the girl waits for her to come down.

she thinks that she'll redirect the fight back to her, and surge is ready for it until... della drops down, knocking into someone whose hand smacks at a glass cup onto the floor, and another person trips falling onto the back from not seeing the wet spot. one hand rests on surge's stomach as she points, a loud laugh leaves from her throat. ]

Ha! HAHAHA! OH MAN!!

[ laughing at someone's expense as they get up, a glare in della's direction, and they reach up to try and grab her metal leg. ]

[ Della cracks her neck by tilting her head to one side, then another. ]

It's been a while since I've been allowed to let myself loose...

[ She then flashes a grin that's more suited to a disney villain than heroine, taking a breath - ]

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLE~!

[ You know how Della went absolutely bananas in Kitsunami's death-bubble? How Surge gets to see that energy and chaos when it isn't confined. Della grabs the arm of the man trying to make a hold for her, and goes feral.

Anyone who is caught in the McDuck tornado gets subjected to bites, kicks, punches, headbutts, as she uses every single part of her body to inflict pain onto someone else. All while she gets out a series of unintelligible 'wak' noises. ]

Oh! Hell yeah!!! Break off his arm, snap a bone! Poke him in his eye!

[ she's directing della to do whatever the hell comes first, but it's when surge hears footsteps behind her that the tenrec's ears twitch. turning around, she finds that someone has come with a glass bottle and is trying to swing it towards her. with a snap of her fingers, the girl allows electricity to flow, popping the glass into various shards as she gets a swift punch to between their legs.

there's a loud groan, one hand coming down to to their crotch as their legs tremble from the pain. ]

I think we should limit the amount of losers you can make in the future.

[ Now, this isn't to say Della isn't taking hits as well as giving them. Of course she is - nobody's perfect. It's just that while she's taking them, she's wearing the bruises and cuts like badges of honor. Might have lost a tooth.

She does manage to climb out of a body pile up, wiping some blood (unsure if hers or another's???) from her cheek. ]

Man, I was there was a jukebox here! Perfect time to throw a guy into one and have it play some perfectly suited rock songs as we bash and crash.

I wasn't aware you were angry and violent, you should let that out more.

[ as she turns her attention back to della, one of the guests within the bar gets up, huffing as they try to jump the duck from behind. surge doesn't say anything since this is par the course, instead, she's wondering how the girl will hold up. ]

I dunno about you, but I'm not about the crash.

[ because as that person comes closer, they're going to make sure della crashes instead. ]

Hey, as a pilot, it's par for the course. ... Granted, more for some than others.

[ Aw, Launchpad, who'd have thought she'd miss you too? Maybe that bit of reminiscing is what allows her to get flattened.

But don't think that means she's down for the count. There's a beat of silence underneath the man, and then - powerhouse double-punch, using both fists and her head right to the gut! ]

This is way too easy.

[ surge realizes, her eyes looking around as she smacks her hands together, and tendrils of electricity shoot out from her body and out in various direction removing any electrical light source. all that's probably here is lit candles, but it gives a new playing field for them to work in as others stand up, hitting or knocking into others once the lights cut out.

with it completely dark, things are a little better, especially when surge kicks someone right into the direction of the bartender, and glass shatters against the ground. ]

[ By the time Della gets back on her feet, it's lights out! She raises her eyebrows, but shrugs it off. All right, new challenge accepted!

She leans on a table, grabbing someone's drink and chugging it down - hydration is important when you exercise a lot - before smashing it on someone's head. ]

Waste not, want not!

[ when surge fights, it's easy to see where she is because with every hit, there's a flash of light highlighting the glee on her face as blood sheds. if she's to the far left, somehow she's in the middle of the tavern, then she's mysteriously somewhere else entirely and the how should be obvious. her speed allows her this luxury, especially when she makes it towards della. ]

You're what I want.

[ waste not, want not, and she can't lose this right. surge is grabbing della by the arm, using her speed to spin the girl off her feet and letting her go so she's flying pretty fast right into someone else within the place.

now she's just waiting for della to connect. ]

[ Faulkner is minding his own business (and perhaps very distracted) trying to catch an escaped beetle, when he gets hit directly in the face with a flying scoop of dirt.

He sputters indignantly, trying to brush himself off. ]

Hey watch it a—

[ He cuts himself off just short of finishing the word asshole when he realises it's Della. But he's still disgruntled. ]

Okay, first off, that's kinda cheating -

[ But any further commentary is cut off when Della is sent flying. At least these guys make for a better landing than the hard wooden floor! Oof.

All right then - if Surge is allowed to use a little 'something extra', then so is she. She tries to find a chair, and - after smashing it on the dude she landed on it - manages to break off the legs so she can use them as makeshift weaponry. ]

There we go, a nice leg up on the competition...

[Della is, near disarmingly friendly. Fenris attempts a smile, and though he’s not quite sure what to do with her hand when she extends it.]

I am Fenris.

[He pauses for a moment, to think about his question, before he continues:]

Is everyone a duck in your world..?

[He pauses, and then adds:]

Not everyone is an elf in mine.

Hm?

[ She looks over, and smiles at the familiar face, oblivious to what she did. ]

Oh, hey there! You on the same quest?

[ No shake? No problem. She pulls her hand back to smooth down her clothes. ]

Nope! We've got all kinds where I'm from. Ducks, parrots, roosters, beagles, pigs, mad scientists, tantrum-throwing gods, murder ponies, evil sorcerers, sky pirates...

[ you know. just the usual. ]

Ugh... do you have to do that?

[ the whole, pun thing, it's gross. it takes away from the whole badassness that she (surge) is bringing to the table. it's dark, but that doesn't mean she can't hear what's going on, especially when one of the gusts at the tavern is walking on broken glass that only grows with every step. he's coming closer, of course he is.

once he's crossed the distance, who he thinks he's grabbing — della — is instead another person's beard, and their fist goes straight into their face. there's the sound of what may have been a bone cracking. ]

Oh!

[ excited, she darts over to where the sound came from, sparks of electricity rolling off her body showing where she's moving to as she places herself under the table. whoever's standing on top of it, she pushes her hands up with enough force to send whoever was on top raining down onto the ground.

might want to move! ]

I'm a parent, it comes with the territory.

[ Once you have a kid, not only must you constantly tell puns, they must always be terrible.

Della tries to track what action she can via Surge's "light", so with that little bit of guidance, she manages to avoid being flattened again! She twirls the chair legs in hand, trying to find off anyone and anything headed her way, like the world's weirdest nun-chucks. ]

The more you complain about 'em, the more I'll say! That's your pun-ishment!

That one sucked.

[ so this is telling surge to never become a parent because of how horrendous these will become. one right punch goes directly to someone's stomach, and as the person drop to their knees, they'll hear hands slap at the bar table requesting everyone's attention. it's the drunken man who has fell into his worries.

some people are alerted to the sound, others ignore to keep fighting, but it's not really to speak on everything.

...

instead, it's for the man to begin humming loud, singing some sailor song in the midst of the battle going on in the tavern. ]

Shut the hell up!!
