And the man in the back said everyone attack
Who: Axel and ANYONE about to be involved in an Bar Fight
Status: OPEN
Where: A soon to be Closed Nogard Tavern
What: IT'S A MINGLE LOG! The Heart Break Hotel Manta Quest demands a Tavern Brawl the likes of which have never been seen. And you're gonna help!
Warnings: N/A Keep it PG; we're going for a Disney rated brawl, nothing too seedy
[Corsairs love a good fight, and after the brand flare-ups left Axel isolated to Nogard more than he'd liked, the assassin recognizes enough of these disreputable establishments to know which can handle a licking. Maybe even deserve one.
Hearts are fickle things, Axel can't claim to know how a tavern brawl is supposed to soothe a broken heart but seeking excitement to fill the aching void is something he guesses he can understand; moreover it's a job he knows he can do.
It's a dingy side of town. The kind of place where this sort of thing might happen on a good night. That's why this tavern brawl has to be a spectacle. If nothing else, it'll be one for the ole sea captain to remember. And hey, sometimes violence is the answer.]
OOC: It's brawl time Mingle Style for maximum chaos! Of course you don't have to do the mission with me, this just felt like a fun setup. I'll try and tag back where I can if you address Axel directly, but please make your own top levels with eachother. Go nuts. The point is less about full threads and more to be rowdy/react and have fun!

Kaveh Starts A Fight
Sure, some of the Corsairs here don't really care, but a few really do have a problem with the "pretty paladin" and were really just looking to harrass him. Maybe some enterprising souls realized Kaveh would be an excellent catalyst for starting the brawl they need. Either way, someone challenged him on whether or not the paladins could even build any stable homes with or without their leviathan and it all went downhill.
Kaveh will maintain he didn't start it. Witnesses will recall the words "arrogant dipshits who can't tell a buttress from a battlement don't get to have an opinion on building quality" being spoken by someone who definitely wasn't the Corsairs. it's a mystery for the ages. The end result is he has slapped someone across the face with his dinner plate and Mehrak is hovering menacingly behind him holding at least three bottles in her grip.
Good luck.]
local architect needs extra enrichment
Actually, the whole day had started out pretty great, if you were to ask Alhaitham. He'd woken up in his husband's arms, as a start, and after spending the rest of a very nice morning in bed the proceeding afternoon had been just as equally pleasant. Kaveh spent the time tinkering about with one of his ideas while Alhaitham kept him company, marveling at his genius in-between pages of his current book. All in all, it'd seemed like the day was going to be just like many of the others that they've had this month.
But then Kaveh said he needed to find more things for his work, and as reluctant as Alhaitham is at the prospect of going out, he doesn't exactly have any good reason to stop the other. Kaveh would've gone on his own if Alhaitham didn't accompany him, and while that by itself isn't too much of an issue, it does become one when he considers the fact that there's no way to know how long Kaveh is going to be out, given how distracted he can get with shopping... and Alhaitham certainly has no desire to wait for hours on end.
So they'd made it a proper outing between the two of them, with Ocard as their destination since its more likely that they'd find what Kaveh needs there. It has been a bit since Alhaitham himself was here, and with Elah still nowhere to be found the streets definitely feel far more crowded than he remembers them last. Thankfully, it doesn't take them too long to find all the things that Kaveh needs, but by the time they're done it is fairly close to dinnertime. Thus they made the decision to eat out, which then followed by getting a drink, which leads them to... well, here.
It'd been a nice evening up until some of the locals decided to take offence at their presence here. Alhaitham, of course, knows better than to give such people any time of day, but the same unfortunately cannot be said for Kaveh. All it takes is one pointed question, a handful of witless, ignorant remarks and his senior's temper does all the rest.
It'd been such a nice evening, and Alhaitham sighs as he witnesses it crumble to pieces. After delivering that initial slap a bunch of the other Corsairs nearby attempt to retaliate, only to be stopped by Alhaitham.
Of course, by this point it's common enough knowledge that the two of them are basically inseparable, and one of them sneers out as much, making a less than polite comment on how its always the pretty ones that have a mutt sniffing around. Does he give you treats if you shake your tail hard enough for him?
Alhaitham's only response is to snort and roll his eyes. People really do have the strangest notion about certain things.]
he'd been so good for too long
[Kaveh is a lot less magnanimous about people calling his husband a dog. He doesn't even wear a collar (the leather really wasn't comfortable for either of them) and that's rude??? Kaveh is already reaching for one of the wooden flagons that still has some grog in it, face red and eyes flashing.
His temper has fully left the station.]
idk he did kill some people not long ago...
If ever asked about it later, Alhaitham will simply claim that his husband had reacted just far too quickly for him to notice. Never mind the fact that he's watched the somewhat satisfying thunk that came with the flagon striking the other square in the forehead.]
We should've just eaten at the usual place on Eltrut. [He remarks somewhat dryly after Kaveh is done flaring his temper. See senior this is why we stick to the usual haunts where people know them and will not be obnoxiously rude and noisy.]
that was extenuating circumstances
[Kaveh's sentence cuts off because he has to duck under a particularly angry man with a flagon mark in his forehead taking a swing at him. Kaveh might be much more durable than he looks, doesn't mean he wants to be punched in the face!]
didn't stop it from being hot--i mean what
I'd advise for you to stop here unless you want to see for yourself how bad my bite is compared to my bark.
[Look dog analogies are not him but he'll do it if that's what it takes to get his point across.]
shhhh
Don't mind Kaveh he's just used Mehrak to grab this man's ankle and yank it right out from under him. Sending the man crashing into a crowd of incredibly drunken miscreants who all take exception to this situation and start yelling and grabbing at people.]
...Whoops.
this is also hot
He watches for a moment just to ensure that the fellow will be fully occupied by something else before he turns back to Kaveh with a particular Look on his face with is accompanied by a small jerk of his head, which is all the warning the architect will get before Alhaitham reaches over to take his hand with the intent to lead and walk both of them out of the front door before things start to get even more rowdy in here.]
makes it worse
And then someone grabs at the back of Alhaitham's cape and Kaveh swings around with Mehrak and a deafening klonk. Luckily it didn't hit anywhere....lethal. But Kaveh just pulled aggro for the entire room.]
it always gets worse with them
Kaveh, however, doesn't take it as well, and the next thing he knows is that his husband has accidentally or otherwise hammered Mehrak into somebody else entirely and they are not taking that well at all.
The crowd turns their attention to them now, and a sizeable number of them begin to approach them, most likely with the intent to surround. Alhaitham is quick to shift to put himself between Kaveh and the encroaching crowd, the hand that's holding onto Kaveh's own tucked behind him.]
On the count of three. [Alhaitham murmurs, just enough for Kaveh to hear. They might be getting cornered here, but there's an easy way out for them here, as his husband should very well know, and so this is his warning for Kaveh to ready himself for what he'll do next.]
yes
[Kaveh is already holding up Mehrak in front of them like a shield, not that she's meant to take hits, but he's not sure what to do here...
Then comes that call. That age-old call of the barfight. Lambad's heard it many times before.
"GET THE BLONDE!"
Oh it's time to go.]
rip bar
A blink and its gone, and while the phantom feel of it being so close still lingers for a bit, the familiar cool breeze of their private island helps to chase it away. Alhaitham doesn't stop the sigh that slips out of him as he relaxes, shoulders sagging back down as the tension of those last few minutes eases away.]
no subject
They didn't graze you, did they?
no subject
They were close, but the ring got us out in time.
[Not that Alhaitham would have regretted taking the blow if it came to it but its nice that he doesn't have to spend the next few days with one side of his face bruised.]
