Bite-Sized Blessings 🐉
[Turo was seated on the ground, one leg folded and the other somewhat outstretched, as he watched the small pink dragon roll around with a large Poké Doll that he had of course brought with him. Really, it seemed to be having a great time biting and kicking into it much like he had seen Dapplewhisker play with one she had gotten a hold of.
Of course Turo was taking a moment, notebook in hand, sketching out the little darling in plate; a few other poses done as well.
Along with a little note talking about the baby dragon's teeth and bite strength. A blue mark already coloring skin, amusement in his eyes despite the otherwise calm expression.]
You are rather energetic- must not have many playmates around for you to sneak out and cause such mischief as this.

Would you mind dropping those lemons in here for me? Just sliced in half, do not worry about squeezing out juice. The skin is just as good for this purpose.

A Very Beary Night 🐻
[The weather was bad enough that Turo had taken shelter in a cave, bag set behind him on some stone. The flickering of a fire likely enough of a beacon for anyone else to see despite the stormy weather and strong winds carried with it. Waiting the storm out-]
Iron Bundle, please do not wander.
[A raised voice called towards the robotic creature with glowing LED screen eyes peering outside of the cave once it had waddled there out of curiousity.
Maybe the Paradox Pokemon spotted someone, trying to catch their attention with just how brightly red part of their body was.
Or that was just a coincidence.]
Monty's Python 🐇
[In all honesty? Turo hadn't intentionally gone out to collect the bounty, oh no. He had certainly heard the rumors about this odd and violently dangerous creature before he had set out and had hoped to avoid it given he had gone out to collect a few samples of plants and whatever herbs he could find out in the wilds of the island.
The beast had other ideas, given that Turo hadn't been paying attention and despite the odd scents that clung to him- well, predators knew signs to look for didn't they—]
--Miraidon?!
[—yet it likely looked a bit hilariously strange to see a large floating, dragon-like creature staring down at the murderous rabbit, some of the ground just in front of the fluffy beast singed where it had just dodged an attack from the Miraidon. He always had the Pokémon's pokéball on him, but he never intended to- oh, this was unfortunate.
The large Paradox Pokemon was keeping an eye on the rabbit at least, while Turo was moving himself backwards from where he had hit the ground, only a slight rip in one of the pantlegs of the slacks he'd worn on this outing; the turtleneck sweater could be washed as well.
His eyes still remained on Pokémon and beast.]

Professor! Over here!
[ Fortunately, Rem links the rabidness of the rabbit to that of the fluffy, tiny beast as mentioned by the MANTA request. If the rumors of its ferocity are anything to go by, they should not underestimate it.
She waves him over, motioning for him to retreat from both the creature and the dragon. ] That's the bounty from the MANTA board. As for that other snake-like beast... I'm not sure what it is. But we should be careful.
no subject
I had a feeling the moment I found myself on the ground and caught sight of it.
[Less worried for himself, he couldn't help but ensure that he was somehow between her and the Paradox Pokémon. Even at the distance put between them.]
That creature is with me- a Dragon and Electric Type Pokémon that was part of my research in the world I am from; Miraidon.
[There was another surge of energy building as well, could see it as the lights on Miraidon glowed brighter, that tail lashing against the ground to keep the rabbit from darting underneath and past it.]
no subject
One might think it unnecessary for a dragon-esque creature to use a large attack against a tiny little rodent, but not in those case. That rabbit is murderous. ]
Glad it's on our side, but I'm guessing we should probably take cover...
no subject
Given it is highly aggressive, and not as sociable as the other Pokémon I have on me, that is a very good idea.
[As nicely put as Turo could, and he had picked up the odd purple pokéball that Miraidon usually resided in just in case he had to do a very quick recall of it. It was clear he had not called it out himself, but for the moment the fact it had a habit of escaping the Masterball on occasion was a mix of fortunate and not.
Murderous rabbit, meet murderous pokémon.
Behind a tree would do at least, given the Miraidon's back was to them and that hyper beam was bright the moment it was unleashed in the mix of a forwards lunge as if it were chasing after the rabbit in it's attempt to dodge.]

Wildcard: Know your Allies
Thus, he chose to seek the professor out on Elah, where he had made himself known to be conducting his own research on 'Poké Dolls' in the weeks prior. Not bothering to knock or announce himself as he entered the workspace, Daqiang made his presence known by walking up to one of the poké dolls, picking it up, and lighting it on fire. It didn't last long, his Hellfire was far too strong for that. But that it lasted at all was impressive to the immortal.]
It withstands flames well.
[He commented as the doll-turned-ash-pile began floating gently towards the floor.]
no subject
[A very, very assured entrance if there ever was one. Enough that Turo didn't just sit up straighter, but actually stood with a polite tip of his head in one part of greeting, wordless as it was.]
It is made to endure elements, as most do not retrieve them when used, but they are left out for others to find them in the wild.
[He did move a hand to to pick up a green Doll to offer up.]
You may find this, a Substitute Doll, to last even if just a little longer. They are made to take damage in place of the intended target. A tougher material, but I hope to improve upon that to be more of use here; many creatures where I am from have varying degrees of fire they use to battle.
[Still polite.]
You have impressive control.
no subject
[Daqiang agreed, treating the statement as a simple fact.
He accepted the green Substitute Doll and moved his hand just far enough away from the both of them that when he lit the thing on fire Turo would certainly feel the heat, but wouldn't be at risk of it jumping. To Turo's credit, the doll did last longer than the first, blackening and crumpling in on itself for almost a full minute before it could no longer hold out and was finished off in a puff of black ash.
Daqiang shook his hand after to get the ash off, then tilted his head in curiosity.]
The material is not magical?
[He hadn't actually checked for a magical signature before lighting it up, but it hadn't burned like there were protections on it.]
no subject
Turo was shaking his head, and at the same time was pulling two cuts of the same green fabric from a drawer of the desk he had been at.]
It is not, merely soaked and coated in solutions I have managed to create to help strengthen it, while ensuring that it is still flexible enough to be shaped into a Substitute Doll. After it is given another soak and allowed to dry. The trick is ensuring that the end result is not toxic to the environment, and it did take me a little while to find the correct combination of ingredients available here to mimic what I am used to where I am from.
[One sample of fabric was untreated, the other had been pre-soaked in the solution during one of his tests. They looked nearly identical, the only difference was that the pre-soaked piece of fabric was a bit stiffer than the other.]

Gotta be green, gotta be mean, gotta be everything more - wildcard ❄️
Turo! Hey, prof!
[He'll catch up to the other man with the doll in hand. Zack looks a little roughed up, himself. He must of had a hard time on that expedition and/or on the way back to Elah.]
Here, got this thing for you.
[Here's a gift. A very well-used doll and some serious reports.]
Why don't you like me, why don't you like me? ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪
[An easy greeting as Turo looked up from one of his notebooks at the call- and then was taking the other in. Ah, he had certainly gone through some things, and it grew rather obvious as to why.
Standing as Turo moved to better meet Zack.]
It appears as if you have been very thorough in your collection of data- need a moment to sit and rest? I can offer you water, if something refreshing to drink could help. I hope you are more well than you appear.
no subject
[He grins anyway, only taking a second to brush hand through his dark hair to try and comb it out.]
I'll tell you all about it over some drinks. Come on, it was one date. Right?
[Hah.]
no subject
[And still good reason to continue working on improving them, so that no matter what changes may come they would still be able to do some good for people here.
There was still a hand held up, there in the air, as if he couldn't decide what to do in moving the well used doll and reports to a flat surface and- How used to such troubles was Zack?
—Wait.]
Ah yes, that was the agreement. I would be happy to.
[That edge of concern remaining- was it fine?]

A Beary Night
It's been wooded area and natural green space, so the pokemon really stands out.
This guy is the one hired to be the cook on Daqiang's crew, but at the moment he looks like a drowned rat. He's not dressed particularly warmly either - he's just in a school uniform with a high collar to hide his face.
Toge approaches the pokemon with caution, one hand on the zipper of his collar, just in case it is hostile. ]
no subject
Those flipper 'arms' moving in a flap once Toge was spotted, Bundle rocking side to side on those sled-runner-like yellow feet.
It's head turned around first, following it's body, and there was that waddle slowly into the cave where it seemed that a fire was built.
Pausing, only Bundle's head turning around to see if Toge was following or not.]
no subject
He's trying to feel things out, quite literally, but he's not getting a sense of any cursed energy at least. ]
Takana? [ What does this creature want with him? ]
no subject
It's head turned all the way around at the word, body continuing forwards all the same. A flipper-like arm waving and pointing towards the flickering light that could only come from a fire within; well out of the way of wind blowing in.
So there was a bounce upwards, body turning around in a spin mid-air and continuing until Bundle was facing forwards.
Of course there was something glowing green, bundle bumping into the tail of another robotic creature that was laying down, an LED eye display lighting up as the much larger green glowing Iron Thorns didn't even lift it's head-]
I see Iron Bundle has come back from their little adventure.
[A different voice, from near the fire.]

A Very Beary Night
[Listen, kaveh's made a lot of decisions that got him to this point--freezing, wet from the storm, and following a light he saw in the distance in the hopes it was a warm shelter. All this, looking for a bear cub? Maybe he really doesn't make great choices--
He didn't expect the light to be a large bird-like a...utomaton? He may have held Mehrak up as a shield, who beeps very intimidatingly, we promise. ...When no hostilities occur, though, he takes a better look at what's happening in here.]
H...hello?
wondering if I should apologize or not for this
Iron Bundle's 'squawk' sounded very... digital, robotic for a rather obvious reason- and yet it bounced a little on those yellow feet that looked more like sled runners than anything else. A flap of flippers
as it turned to the side.
To face the other robotic creature that appeared as if it had come to fetch it.
At the very least Iron Valiant didn't draw out it's bladed spear, rather moving to stand behind Bundle and... stare.
Bundle bounced again, little flipper arms flapping and pointing one at Kaveh as it beeped away happily despite the weather; oblivious to a bit around it. Running then in a circle around Valiant's legs, stopping in front and- that was as much of a 'come in' gesture as Bundle could do.
... Valiant wasn't opposing, despite the unblinking pink stare.]
it's fineeeee he's fine
Oh...um. Thank you, and please pardon my intrusion...
[Well, this is a strange situation, but no need to be rude to the weird robotic creatures that are clearly intelligent. He'll follow bundle inside, and let Mehrak go to float on her own. She might have beep-booped at Valiant. :O hello!]

Accidental Bounty Hunting - NSFW
Dojima was standing next to Turo, watching him get everything sorted. They'd come out to a smaller island to do some research, Dojima acting as a second pair of ears and eyes for the Professor while he got some work done.
"Seems pretty overgrown on this island, huh?"
Lots of plants he didn't recognize, and the humidity was noticeable. Not quite to the levels of Summer in Inaba, but... getting there.
no subject
With his bag sorted, Turo hefted it easily over one shoulder, looking up at Dojima.
"I have packed extra water and some oranges, in case there is worry of dehydration while moving through an area like this." Just to try and make sure this entire trip didn't take too much out of the man, packing what he could. Did help that any rations that counted towards himself he could easily share.
"Ready?"
no subject
Dojima remembered hearing about some plant in Australia, that when you touched it, caused pain so bad and long lasting you'd wish you were dead. Last thing they needed was Turo getting hit with something like that.
His own bag was on his shoulder, service revolver and long sturdy rope at his belt and his silver bracers on his wrists. Maybe he should invest in a machete next time...
He tried to control the wrinkling of his nose at the mention of 'oranges'. It was fine, fruit was good for him, and he sure as hell didn't want scury, but... Ugh. Sweet.
"Sounds good, last thing we need is getting scurvy out here. Ready when you are."

Wildcard/goose
There it is, professor. Do you see it? [ THIS IS A RHETORICAL QUESTION.
Anyway. They have the turret positioned, equipped and configured with one of Turo's Tera crystals. Placing her hand upon the panel, it appears to come to life, red gears appearing around the current mount and head. ]
If this doesn't work, though, we should retreat.
no subject
Did not make that sight or sound any better—]
I do, and it is coming this way rather quickly. [TO PUT IT LIGHTLY, MAYBE.
Turo ducked himself to the side, crouched down in a half kneel- and just in case had a hand hovering just over the lab coat pocket he kept his Masterballs within. He didn't have any doubt about the turret working, but the output was at a question along with just how effective it would be here.]
I can have Miraidon at the ready for a quick retreat, if you do not mind sharing their back with me.
[The Iron Serpent was very likely to help in a retreat these days, which he was grateful for.]
no subject
[ She'd rather relay on a retreat than--
(1) attempt to take down a giant goose on her own,
(2) see a battle between a legendary Pokémon and a giant goose, and
(3) use her own destruction magic against its heads, revealing more of what she can do.
Rem turns her hand to the side as if moving a dial. ] Power increasing to 20--...30... 35%....
[ IT'S GONNA BE A CLOSE ONE. Below them the ground quakes, and above them the trees rattle wildly. ]
