Who: Shadow the Hedgehog and whomever I've plot things with. Status: Closed Where: Wherever the prompts take us. What: Catch-all for the month. Warnings: Potential violence, murder, warm fuzzies and still being an asshole.
[Everyday, we get ever closer to Shadow the Hedgehog wanting to nuke this place. He can tolerate a lot of strange and random things this place tries to throw at him, but this was beyond ridiculous. At least he can do things whenever this place toss him around.
What the fuck is he suppose to do as a rock??
Dammit, and he's had to transform in an unideal spot. He had gone into Shellton, somewhere in town near the markets. Sitting there, unassuming where no one would notice him. Although, there was a floating purple creature hovering around his rock from, snickering as if it found this all very funny. The rock will occasionally wiggle uselessly if one pays attention. Stupid wisp. It's going to suffer once he changes back.]
[ Unfortunately for Shadow, he has extra shit luck. Amy's walking down the path, humming to herself as she holds a basket of... well, nothing yet because she has only just started shopping. She's here for fresh fruits and veggies and maybe something to make sourdough starter, when she sees it.
A Wisp. One of the weird Nega Wisps, but a Wisp. She blinks. How did it get here? It probably doesn't matter. Shifting the basket on her arm, she walks closer to it. ]
Hey there, little guy! What are you doing here, huh?
[ Her eyes flicks to the rock because... did it just move? Or maybe she's hallucinating... ]
[She's definitely not hallucinating. The rock definitely shudder at the sound of her voice. Damn it, of all the people to find him. Not her.
The wisp chirps in surprise when she address it, lowering itself to "sit" on top of the rock. The wisp seems rather fond of this "rock", making low growly sounds. Don't take the rock from it!]
[ Amy squints. Huh. This Wisp seems to have a legit pet rock. ]
Do you wanna come shopping with me, little guy? We can take your friend with us!
[ She crouches down and offers the basket for a coveted ride. Honestly, she's more excited to see something familiar from home versus a moving rock. For now. ]
[The Wisp looks up with surprise at the invitation. The rock wiggles. No, we're not going shopping. He's not going shopping, the wisp can go by itself-
There's sudden movement as the wisps grabs hold of his "pet rock" and hovers cautiously over the basket. The wisp gives Amy another suspicious look. They seem nice, they look like a hedgehog like Shadow...maybe they could help him?]
[Look, this wisp has been through a lot, so shopping and baking sounds absolutely riveting to them. It chirps with more enthusiam, proceeding to nest itself in the basket with it's pet rock.
Shadow would be groaning in such frustration right now, but he is simply a rock. The rock that can only angrily vibrate, forced to get dragged around. ]
[ Adventuring buddy: acquired! Amy beams, picks up the basket, and off they go. A few minutes later, she rounds the corner and enters the bustling markets. ]
Hmmm... where should we start first?
[ She's already heading towards a fruit stand, thanks. ]
You know, I'm really glad I ran into you! It's been a little lonely the last few days.
[ She grabs a few fresh fruits -- bananas, specifically-- and pays for them, before she finds space in the basket and places them in. ]
[Great, he's stuck listening to the shopping routines of Amy Rose. So glad the wisp is having a great time, insert sarcasm here. Occasionally the wisps chirps as Amy talks, eyes also looking at the various produce as she goes between stalls.
It's curious, having never seen such foods. It hovering closer to the items as Amy buys them, touching them, giving them a sniff. Shadow would be sighing so loudly right now if he could be heard.
And what does she mean it's been lonely? He'd imagine her cottage is full of activity and noise living with that blue hedgehog and fox. Wisp, chirps curiously, seemingly hearing what Shadow's thinking and looking at Amy with a puzzled look.]
[...What does that even mean? The wisp merely tilts it's head, then looks at all the produce before them. It makes a oohing sound at everything before it. How does it choose??
A patch of dark berries catches it's attention. He floats out of Amy's basket and proceeds to dive right into a basket of blueberries. The merchant let's out a yelp of surprise, the little wisp cackling as it proceeds to sample one of the blueberries or two. Or three. It chirps enthusiastically, twirling in place. He approves, as the merchant eyes them both with disapproval. You paying for that, right?]
[ Amy's already pulling out the payment before the shop owner can say anything. She counts it out and slides it across the counter without a word, before taking the carton of blueberries *and* the Wisp and placing both parties into the basket so said Wisp can go to town on its berries. ]
Good choice! Now, we've just gotta get a few more things...
[ While her new friend eats, she buys some bread flour and other things from her list. Soon, she's headed home. ]
[Hope there wasn't anything else besides a rock in the basket that she doesn't want to get stained. The Wisp is happy, but the wisp is also a messy eater. Guess Shadow will find out at some point when he returns to normal if the berry stains remain.
He be sighing right now if he could. All he can do is wiggle, unable to even nudge himself out of the basket. Chaos, how long will this torment last? ]
[On this not so scary day at the Conservatory, Turo is going to find himself having a visitor. Although, it's not the hedgehog who makes himself known first, but a small purple creature that intrudes his office. It floats and whizzes around, chirping curiously at all the things inside the room.
Although upon seeing the exmination table, it croaks and proceeds to fly back to Shadow who was coming through the door.]
[He had caught sight of it while coming from checking on just what still remained of snacks in the break area attached to the side there, following it as it flew back to—]
Hello, Shadow. I see you have a little company with you.
[Had him giving the creature another glance; certainly something unique to say the least-]
I am doing very well, repairs have finished to the best they can be done—including the few lingering physical ones. [So he was as good as he was going to get, and as far as Turo could tell there would be no trouble in anything. A reason he was able to start working as usual in Cosmo once more.] Tell me what may need help with in regards to him, then.
[He heres Turo say he's fine, but he is ever the skeptic whenever Eggman had a hand in the repairs. As it is, there's nothing that stands out that he needs to address it right this moment.]
This is called a Wisp. Travelers from another planet, comprise of a life force that can be utilized by others. Hyper-go-on if you need a name to it. This one has been completely drained of it's energy, causing a mutation. Whatever life force remains has become corrupted due to overusage.
[Despite the grim outlook of this wisp, it still puts on a devious grin, snickering at something funny.] There is a way to restore them, but that would require other non-corrupt Wisps. [Which at this time, he doesn't know if there are others yet.]
[Turo listened as he watched the wisp, taking it all in to sort of note what he could see with what he was actively being told—]
Anything wisp-like may be down in the ocean biome viewing caves, and there is also always testing with the dust from those moths most used to deal with corruption below. [He couldn't recall if he had seeing anything like this Wisp, but then again he hadn't been out and about outside of Cosmo as he usually was outside of continued investigation down in Nilatast.
It would not hurt to see if something could be found; since I built them, the crystals that grow down there have attracted various creatures who have taken up corners of the space to live. [Perhaps the crystals' energies attracted them, or it was quiet and dark enough that they felt it was a safe place despite the people that would go down to view of ocean life and see the tide pools below.
His head tilted, just to easier follow—a hand lifted, palm upturned, just in some peaceful offer of the Wisp to examine if it so wished.]
[He hums quietly. Wisp are not aquatic by nature, but he suppose there's no harm in going down to see if the environment is suitable for them. But he needs the wisp to actually come with him first.
The wisp descends to get a closer look at Turo's hand. At first, it made curious noises, and then proceeds to bite his fingers.]
Hey! [The wisp was clearly treating this like a game. There was some pressure applied, but not lethal.]
[There was no jerking away, Turo kept his hand so very still as fingers curled so very slightly from a twitch at the initial feeling more out of surprise than anything.]
You are testing, aren't you? [A genuine question to the Wisp even if he half didn't expect much of an answer, looking Shadow's way.] The material my skin is made of can take a few bites.
This one was not meant to hurt, but it certainly wants some reaction.
[The professor is correct. After nawing a little at his fingers, the wisp eventually lets go, cackling as it spins in the air.]
Tch. They are...mischievious like this. [Not evil, just more wild and destructive in nature.] They may not work well with others who can't keep up with them.
There are quite a few Pokemon of my world that are the same, even those within Area Zero. [So some experience, and quite a few memories and just... knowledge of creatures that had a streak of it. Wild, a need to prank, and destruction could come with the wildness of it.
So there was some understanding there.] No patience for it, I imagine.
A wildness that leaves them pushing quite a bit, or so I imagine.
