aranea - giant moth bounty

[Verso arrives at the docks just before sundown. It's not a far trek from the same tavern they had been too after their encounter with the Phantom. While a room wasn't necessary for him, having lived out in the wilds of the Continent for years, it was at least a place for him to store the few belongings he had in-between the quests he chose to take on.

He looks out to the horizon, a wave of nostalgia overcoming him. Though no monolith stands in the distance, it feels familiar, with the ships bobbing with the waves on either side, the water sloshing against the wood and stone. And yet time continues to move on, evidenced by the ongoing restoration efforts surrounding him.

Crossing his arms over his chest, he dwells on the view for a little longer, distracted from Aranea's arrival, whenever it may be.]

[draganea]

[Will he be distracted enough to not notice the odd flap of wings somewhere above him? Granted he could easily mistake them for a bird or some other flying beastfolk that could be around. But there would be no mistake that calls out to him.]

Enjoying the sunset, Bait?

[And should he look up, he will find not Aranea—at least not at first. Instead there will be a wyvern's face right in front of him.]

[He doesn't mind the flap of wings at first, but his lips form a thin line when he begins to be buffeted by the winds. Once he hears a familiar voice, he turns.]

That or maybe I was devising some kind of plan for the—

[Whatever he was going to say gets lost in his throat as he stares up at the wyvern looking down at him.]

You didn't say you were bringing company.

[draganea]

[There's just a screeeech of the wyvern as Aranea laughs, finally leaning to the side so Verso can see her better.]

You didn't say I couldn't.

[And the wyvern now looks as if it's glaring at Verso, eying him suspiciously.]

[musicien]

[His eyes light up, very much fascinated by the winged creature. He has a number of questions about it, but there's something in the look that it's giving him that makes him pause.]

Your friend is welcome to join us, but something tells me they're not the friendly type.

[Verso quirks at eyebrow at the wyvern, then looks at Aranea questioningly.]

[draganea]

Oh she's quite friendly.

[A hiss from the wyvern as it starts to slowly fly around Verso.]

Just not to men.

[Another hiss and suspicious look before Aranea finally calls her off and pats her neck to signal for her to land on the ground. Upon landing, the wyvern continues to keep her eyes on Verso.]

Don't take it personally, some poachers trapped her so her first impression of men were...

[A small grimacing hiss and half shrug.]

She'll warm up once she gets to know you. Her name's Freya.

[While Verso had been around for a while now, he figures it's about time he begins rebuilding his wine collection. If he was going to be stuck here, he might as well have a few of the amenities he kept close by from back home. Or at least find something similar to what he had. He might not be able to take it all with him, but that's a problem for another day. And so he finds himself stopping by the Seventh Heaven with the intent of sampling a few of their wares.

However, he finds himself wandering towards the jukebox situated by the wall. Glass in hand, he looks over the selection. Most titles on display are unfamiliar to him including the one currently being played.]

Is this supposed to be some type of gramophone?

[He's no engineer, but he's certainly curious about this rather large music box.]
