What: a whole-ass smörgåsbord of things to choose
Warnings: nothing at the moment but will modify if things get spicy

( it's been a while since he's been to a proper winter island — he doesn't really count punk hazard because who really would count punk hazard — so the weather change is something welcome. winter, after all, provides really good ( harsh ) training conditions. and zoro is always one open to training and bettering himself. he still has a sword to tame, after all.

not that anyone besides him knows that, of course, but a point of note nonetheless.

so while he can more often than not be seen: a.) sitting in a patch of snow meditating ( with his shirt off ) or 2.) going through training steps with one of his three swords ( also with his shirt off, there's a trend here ), he will also be getting involved in some winter shenanigans. )

— mistletoe bats

( for the most part, zoro's been dodging these stupid weird looking bats left and right. in fact, at some point during the day, he sees it as some kind of training: if he can dodge a certain amount of bats, he can reward himself with something fun later. ( fun being booze and something good to eat, don't get it twisted; zoro is a simple man with simple pleasures. ) and things are going pretty well for him; by lunchtime he's managed to dodge more than he anticipated, so he decides to find something tasty to eat.

of course, it's after consuming a delicious lunch and he's standing idly trying to decide what he wants to do next is when he feels a sharp pinch against his forearm. he looks down to see a bat there — and he would swear it's looking all too smarmy — before flitting off to annoy someone else. zoro huffs, inspects his arm, then just shrugs and carries on about his day.

yet, as that day progresses, he starts to feel a little weird. there's a warm tingling just beneath his skin, something that sets him to buzzing and it's an all too familiar feeling. except, of course, for the part where he can't decide if it's the fun one ( fighting ) or the other thing ( intimacy ). all he knows is that he feels like a prowling tiger inside a very small and narrow cage and he stalks through nogard. somewhere along the way he bumps into someone — whose fault it is doesn't matter, he's already alight with something feral — and he looks over to them, lip slightly curled and a gleam in his eye, )

[Zack has noticed the swarms of annoying little bats around too. It's hard to dodge them since they're as relentless as mosquitos. But after being bit by a baby dragon earlier in his week he's about done with little creatures biting him.

... Except it's hard to dodge forever. When he least expects it he feels the tiny little fangs dig into his own neck too. He winces and growls out,]

Ow! ... Damn it?!

[Once the strange fever sets in he finds himself head to head with some other guy. His head feels like it's full of fever.]

I don't know. Do you have a problem?

— gift-giving

( whatever sort of festivities are going on in this place, zoro doesn't really know them. he's never really celebrated... well, anything, if he's honest. birthdays, sometimes, but only since meeting luffy and the others. the life he lived before being indoctrinated into the straw hat pirates didn't really lend to celebration of that sort. so, the idea of celebrating a holiday and getting people gifts just to get gifts is really lost on him.

and not only because he doesn't really know anyone here well enough to get gifts for, anyway.

but, that's beside the point. the point is is that he hears about stealing from the haves and giving to the have nots. he can't say it's not something he's never done before in his life, so he decides to do it again. if only because he tells himself that a.) he has nothing better to do and 2.) he wants something warmer to wear while the snow is about and it seems better to steal from someone who has something rather than some random store.

so, like a true ~~pirate~~ corsair, he pillages. it's fun, for the most part, and when he decides he's done ( as in, when he finds something cozy and warm to wear ( which is a ridiculous dark green fuzzy coat that comes down to his ankles ), he starts just handing out the other loot he collected. because, really, what the hell is he gonna do with all this? and the "gifts?" well, they're going to be the most random bullshit crap that make no sense to anyone. a bejeweled candlestick holder? sure. brightly colored crop fur coats? why not! zoro's pawing his stolen wares off to anyone he passes, and will just drop it by their feet if they don't actively take it. )

Here. Looks like you could use this.

— candy cane dare

( first of all, this seems really stupid to him. but, it's a competition ( isn't it??? ) and zoro does like those. he doesn't realize it's geared toward couples — not that it would really matter to him if he did — so he's just looking to compete.

this is, of course, after he's figured out what a candy cane even is — they look weird and he's not one hundred percent on the flavor of it or how sticky they can get. but, this is a fight against candy and he's going to win. ( why, yes, there is something entirely wrong with him, why do u ask??? )

so, to whatever poor schmuck is standing nearby and is alone ( or, at the very least, appears to be alone ) he turns and jerks his thumb toward the... festivities. )

You, come on. ( a weird and wild beat, he grins slightly, ) I'll take the round end.

[ Who needs to be a couple when they're just in it for a good time? Demyx grins a little bit. It's a challenge sure, and he's not the most competitive. At least, not when it matters.

This? This is silly.

He can be competitive over candy. ]

You're on.

— ribbon dance

( it's while zoro is taking a nap against a tree that a little bird ties a ribbon around his wrist. he doesn't stir as it doesn't register enough to be a threat ( and, oh, but how wrong he is about that... ) so when he finally does wake some time later, he's a little confused to see a blue ribbon around said wrist.

he blinks blearily at it, attempts to remember if he put it there before taking his nap, but nothing surfaces. he doesn't like that someone was able to do this while he was asleep, but for the most part it doesn't seem particularly odious.

except when he tries to take it off himself he discovers that he can't. that's not great. because that definitely means something and even though he's only been here a short time, he already knows shit never seems as placid as it appears. damn it.

he rises to his feet and looks around for someone who has a matching ribbon and approaches them with his arm lifted, sleeve partially rolled to expose the rather dainty looking thing on a very not dainty looking wrist, )

( if u would like to wildcard any options, pls feel free to do so! he will help making sand sculptures if asked, he won't be competing in the food contest but if someone wants a hunter and gatherer, he'll happily go do that, he'll do the obstacle thing and give away everything that isn't the coupons or money, he'll participate in snowball fights, or whatever man. hmu if u wanna do something. )

( at first, zoro is hesitant to deal with anything dragon related — all things considered. not so much out of fear or anything ridiculous like that, but because fuck dragons, honestly. and not the fun way. but, these are considerably smaller than the last one he dealt with, so he figures why not? he's getting a reward at the end of it all. so, he goes after the little thing.
🐉 CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE:
— in the process of tailing the small dragon by which he is not very stealthy whatsoever and the dragon keeps scurrying away from him ( and yeah, he's cussing it out the whole time; )
— has caught the dragon and is holding it like a person holds a fish after getting it out of water: aka it wigglin and he strugglin. ( yeah, he's still cussing it out. ) and it will be during this scuffle where the dragon bites him and the mark that will bloom on his wrist is an onigiri;
— are you his partner in dragon-capturing crime? zoro will be staunchly for setting it free and not forcing it back into captivity. he might not like dragons, but this one isn't his problem ( right now ) and he doesn't feel right sending it back. )

— poke n prance

( if there is one weirdo to exist that enjoys the thrill of a fight for nothing more than the fight itself, it's this guy. he doesn't really care much about the prize or anything, especially this one. what's he going to do with coffee? it's not really his drink of choice. but what is his drink of choice is battle. the delicate notes of steel clashing against steel, of sweat dripping over skin, of shortened breaths, of excitement coursing through his veins.

when he wins — because he's probably going to but lmk if u would like to best him, as i am very open to it but the starter is easier to write this way!! — he'll collect his prize and then go find the person he fought against. he holds out the winnings so uncaring about it, )
