[After Beat's close encounter with a UFO, one that Futaba conveniently forgot to tell him... was her own and her silly idea of bringing some ✨whimsy✨ to this place.

That talk probably consisted of "yeah that was me. Ever heard of The X-Folders?" and that was that. So for her birthday, instead of asking for something normal, like a nice present, a nice dinner, or something like that... oh no. Sorry Beat, you're dressing up for her again, but this time... this time it's worse. This time, to keep her silly little ✨whimsy✨ going, she somehow procured one of these bad boys. Futaba won't answer when asked where she got it, just a "pleeeeeaaaaassssseeeeee?" from her.]

C'moooooon, Bones. The X-Folders aren't going to fill themselves with stupid things for people to find! You're the only one I can ask to make the most convincing Bigfoot footprints for people to find! You're the only other one who knows about it and Scullop and Mullusk! It'll be perfect!

[When he had asked Futaba what she wanted for her birthday, he wasn't exactly sure what to expect. One thing he did know was whatever it was going to be, he was going to make sure that he would get it for her, or make it happen, whatever it might be. Now that he was faced with the actual request though...

Beat looks at the costume in his hands then back at Futaba, slack-jawed, wide-eyed, and honestly a little confused at first. Then came the X-Folders explanation and suddenly things started making sense. He looks at the ugly face of "Bigfoot" staring back up at him, his nose wrinkling in the process.]

You sure this ain't your way of tellin' me this your kink or something? 'Cause if it is, I ain't gonna shame ya for it.

[Of course he's going to wear it if that's what she wants. But that doesn't mean he's not going to tease her about it a little.]
