[While the quests that had been put up on the MANTA this month had been worded interestingly, to say the least, that wasn't going to stop Verso from looking through it and taking on one or two.

Which is how he finds himself at the edge of the water, keeping an eye out for the missing Namazu that had gone out to sea. If there's any truth to what had been written, he expects to deliver some unfortunate news to the poor creatures, should he find the body of their friend.

He turns his head slightly towards Lune as they continue down the coast, eyebrow cocked upwards.]

Wasn't exactly sure what a Namazu was before now. But this place never ceases to amaze me with the creatures they have.

[ Lune's run into the Namazu a few times this month leading to her having a rather...colorful opinion of them. Said opinion mostly boils down to them being woefully incompetent all while seemingly doing their best. It's almost endearing. Which is why she might have been holding out some hope that they would find the missing Namazu.

She puts a hand on her hip as she scans as far as she can see. ]

Mm, I've run into a few. A few people I know were helping them with costumed advertising. Evidently some of them were making attempts at being entrepreneurs. [ Really inept attempts.... She glances over at him with a neutral expression. ] I suppose you should count yourself lucky you weren't corned by one and forced into a suit. [ Instead they're just out looking for something that's surely no longer among the living. ]

Can't imagine the one I spoke to becoming anything of the sort. Could barely get the information of of them. But if one can understand gestrals—

[You can understand anyone, but he leaves off the rest.

By the sounds of it, Lune has had her own share of encounters with the creatures and that one slip at the end certainly piques his interested. Verso stops in his tracks to fully turn towards her.]

Forced into a suit? Sounds like there's a story there.

Mm, they do seem to have at least a few similarities to gestrals. Enough to make one wonder where they came from. If they're natural denezins of this world or something else.

[ Nobody seems overly surprised by their take over yet nobody seems familiar with them either. At least that she's taken note of.

She sighs and drops her head, shaking it. ]

They've been using people in mascot suits to advertise. They're ridiculous, impossible to navigate in without a handler. A few attempted to get me in one. Getting them to accept no was extremely difficult.

And here I thought they somehow convinced you to do so. Maybe used their non-existent entrepreneurial skills, only to fail miserably and for you to feel sorry for them.

[Sure he's coming up with his own narrative in his mind, but it seemed plausible. Especially with Lune's fascination with other creatures, both in this world or their own. Verso chuckles lightly.]

Would have paid a few gold to see that.

Mm, I don't think there's any amount of pity that would have gotten me into one of those outfits.

[ Maybe she's protesting too much. If they'd looked at her with their big soulless eyes for just a little longer...

Maybe. Maybe she would have. She tilts her head as she looks at him. ]

Tell you what, if we go back and they're still looking for volunteers I'll wear one if you do.

[He perks up a little at the suggestion. It's not something he expected coming from Lune, usually all analysis and logic. Never in his dreams would he pass up such an opportunity.]

Let's hope that's the case when we return then. If it gets you into one of these suits, it'll be well worth it.

[This just gives him more reason to accomplish this quest as quickly as they can.]

[ She looks at him for just a moment, hand on hip and fingers drumming. There's perhaps a bit of her own plan in there, something she's keeping to herself. A plan to get him into an embarrassing suit instead. But he doesn't need to know that! ]

Is the idea of me in a clunky mascot suit really that appealing? You need a guide when you're in one so you don't bump into things. Will you be volunteering for that job? I've heard from a friend that it's al considerable work.

Is my amusement that apparent?

[He knows it is, what with the ghost of a smile pulling at the edges of his lips.]

Can't say it's something I would expect coming from you. So you'll have to forgive me if I find the image quite entertaining.

[He quirks a brow, arms crossing over his chest. He may not have seen these suits before but the way Lune describes it might be different from what he imagines.]

Clunky, you say? And here I thought it would just be a costume you put on. [A hum.] So what you're asking is that I do the same and help you around. Does that mean you'll return the favor, should roles be are reversed?

Surprisingly apparent. You're usually harder to read.

[ She gives something of a smirk at that, it's the ghost of one, barely there, but it is there. ]

I'm not sure if I'm willing to forgive that actually.

[ Said with a very serious tone, as if it were a mock big deal. ]

Ah, no, they're rather...intricate. Full body as it were. [ No such luck as it just being some silly shirt and skirt or something along those lines. She rolls her shoulders in a shrug. ] No, I wouldn't really expect that of you.
