⛵ Like the rest of the ships around the docks lately, the explosion of sea slugs has taken over the hero's ship as well. It's covered in what seems like hundreds of playful and colourful sea slugs. They are all over the deck, climbing up the mast and leaving strings of sticky slime all over the place. The slugs will either need to be removed somehow or killed. And the sea slug slime mopped up...

If crewmates and friends are looking for partners to go harvesting underwater pineapples with the ship can also be found in Eltrut waters where the special pineapples can be found. Go swimming or diving to collect as many underwater pineapples for the ship stores as possible.

🌼 If not on the ship, the crew can sometimes be found at their small cottage on the paladin's leviathan, Elah. The cottage is small but happens to be well kept despite four very unruly and busy teenagers living inside it. They have a small garden growing outside as well as various plants and pots all over the terrace.

And they seem to be preparing to build some kind of new addition to the cottage soon too as there is a pile of stone and wood stacked up outside. And an apple-shaped sheep keeps walking around too. Baaah.

[Izuku chuckles lightly and nods.]

That's a nice idea but no I wouldn't expect you to keep everything frozen forever.

I think we can start with a frame first. Out of all these spare rocks and wood that I found. With some nails and plaster, I think it should hold well enough... What do you think, Todoroki-kun? Should we do an alchemy study or a greenhouse? I think a greenhouse would need glass panels too...

Shoto is also nodding, but more or less just as filler to settle in while he considers what they could do with these items and with their home. He's not even questioning putting holes in it. "You know," he starts, crouching down by the wood to feel out the texture of it. "A frame is fine, but have you ever heard of Shou Sugi Ban?" Shoto turns his eyes back to Izuku, there's no reason to tell him something he doesn't already know to offer the service.

[Izuku tilts his head curiously. But he hasn't heard of that before. Maybe in a textbook or on the internet a long time ago?]

What is that, Todoroki-kun?

[He's very interested! And listening!]

Shoto produces flame from his hand to take some of the wood and hold it up to the flame to char it. "It's a technique for preserving wood and also making it a little more fire resistant at the same time. It's done by pre-firing the wood you use." Imagine Shoto knows something about fire and houses.

Eh? That sounds complicated.

[But he's very interested!]

Do you think we could try it here?

[Does that mean they're gonna apply fire to the wood right now!!!]

"Maybe." Todoroki admits. It might honestly be hard. "Yes, we can. I have what we need to and it is supposed to be nice looking." Nice looking. He slowly applies fire to a scrap piece to try it. The hand holding the wood is using his other side of his quirk to engage it in the process of making it harder for the fire to take hold more than charring.

The first piece, the fire is too hot, and most certainly turns into charred wood alright.

"Hm... Maybe if I do it on the ground, could you use air force at a very small degree to put it out? Do you think?"

[Honestly, the attempt is really cool.]

Ah, that might be a good idea. But we should be careful, I wouldn't want any of the fire to spread needlessly. That would be more work for you.

[He nods quickly. Science time.]
