a » evading capture
[Early on, Cid is going to be fairly confused until he figures out about this whole bounty business. Which means that at first he will be making a hasty escape when some individuals try to corner him.]
Lads, I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm sure we can come to an amicable resolution?
[Of course, that's a no and there will be the clash of steel and explosion of lightning that strikes through the alleyway before Cid rushes out.]
Bloody hell is going on!?
[Anyway, either get out of the way, help Cid, or help the bounty hunters capture him! Those who actually want to try and capture Cid for the bounty as is will want this prompt!]

b » caught?
[Once Cid has figured out this whole bounty business, he'll make arrangements either ahead of time or with anyone he's encountered willing to take advantage and cash in on the bounty themselves and split the reward. When you're a Dominant and have five others plus a whole crew ready to save their captain, it's a fairly safe bet. It helps that he's wanted alive, too.
1) Make it convincing. While some may just want to go in unhurt and play the "He surrendered peacefully" card, Cid will make proposals or accept the idea that he should be slightly injured or scuffed up to make it a bit more convincing. After all, if his escape is going to happen a lot, it might be more suspicious if he's always coming in unharmed. So if anyone's wanted a spar give Cid a nice, little punch, here's your chance!
2) Grand escape. Once turned in and the reward has been obtained, Cid will be just lounging in the cell or whatever he's being held in. While initially he would be in official bounty jail cells, over time after repeated escapes and break outs, these won't cut it so he may be moved to different locations to be held. Could be on a ship to go to the ones who want him, could be some random building or shack. Could even be out in the middle of the forest as the handlers wait for him to be transferred over again.
Whatever and wherever it is, it's now time to put the plan into action. Or perhaps someone just happened to find him before a plan is hatched. Here are two general ways it can go:
a) Sneaky sneaky. Classic stealth breakout mission. Don't alert the guards somehow! Or knock them out or something. Could also do the ol' classic "dig a tunnel out."
b) Chaos. Loud distractions, engage in fighting, blow the place up. The more dramatic of the options, but no less fun.
And of course always open to other ideas and plans! They can get as creative as they want. (They an also try to take some extra cash or goods if there is anything around—)
Note: We don't necessarily have to thread out both part 1) and 2). It can always be arranged that if we only do part 1) some NPCs or someone else will be involved to break Cid out. Likewise can handwave part 1) happening somehow and focus on the break out.]

c » recovery
[Note: (late april/early may)
Unfortunately, the constant breakouts and loss of money will have made the ones after Cid very frustrated. At some point the bounty changes to "Dead or Alive," something Cid won't realize until too late. After one bad ambush with Benedikta, Cid will have suffered severe injuries to his chest and left arm that will leave him bedridden. And because of the change in the bounty, everyone will force Cid to stay on the crew's island, the Roost where he will be under strict watch because he will rest and recover, dammit!!
Which means, he's going to be...bored. Fiddling on his shellphone, drawing and writing things on a lapdesk he manages to acquire, reading. But he's soooo boooreeeed.
So anyone who wishes to visit him will either be part of the crew or will need to hitch a ride with a Hideaway crew member to visit. Alternatively, communicating via shellphone.]
...I need to come up with some better entertainment.
[A low mutter as he crumples up a piece of paper with a rejected schematic design he tried to make and just throws it to the small wastebasket, frowning when it bounces off the rim and lands among the few others that didn't make it. It's been about 50/50.
Guests will also likely be met with a little baby owl or—]
...Don't look at me like that, was just stretching my legs.
[Cid breaking doctor's orders and trying to escape the bed to walk around a bit. Which is still a very bad idea so get him back in there!]

[Cid's bounty log!! But I am open to doing other quests that could be set before things go crazy. I have my plotting comment here or you can hit me up on through PM, Discord, or
laenavesse.]

And Cid will "lead" the way under the guise of Alhaitham pushing him forward. Of course, once they're out on the streets he shifts from his normal walking gait to something more of a shuffle, shoulder half hunched over as he wears a perpetual grimace, as if displaying the amount of terrible pain he's suffered. And this act will continue all the way to the guard station.
Another reason this location is chosen is that while the station has cells, it's one of those "simpler" detaining jails where there are just a few guards and simple cells to hold miscreants and temporary holding for bounties like himself until higher ranked authorities or the bounty holder comes to pick them up. Which means, it'll be easier to break out.]
no subject
Fortunately, its not a particularly long walk to the station, and the sleepy looking guard at the front desk all but stammers and flails the moment Alhaitham steps in with his supposed 'prize', having not expected a bounty like this to appear at their proverbial doorstep. There's a bit more floundering after that, but said guard manages to gather themselves back together just enough to scuttle off to find their supervisor.
As they wait for them to return Alhaitham sends over one more glance at Cid. They can't back out now, but might as well make sure again that everything is in place for later. If anything screws up he can't imagine it going well in the slightest.]
no subject
Everything was picked out for good reason, and while these fellows are honest folk and do their jobs, they are more used to the occasional minor crimes than higher grade criminals. Even their supervisor, who is a veteran in his own right, can help but feel the pressure of having to hold a man of Cid's "reputation," especially when it's already known how he manages to escape. They certainly know not to trust any random bags or items left out in front of the door!!!
thanks ranmaSo this time as the officers take Cid, they'll slap chains around his wrists and assure Alhaitham that they will have a man in front of Cid's cell to keep an eye on him. And as they take Cid in, the supervisor will lead Alhaitham to an office to fill out some paperwork so he can get the document to turn into the nearby agency for his reward.]
no subject
Still, the sight of those chains that they wrap around the elder man's wrists does not feel particularly promising, and Alhaitham can't help but give a glance at those as the officers lead Cid away to the holding cell. Whatever newfound reservations he might have had, there really is nothing else he can do now at this point—at least not without jeopardizing the whole plan, of which he has no reason or intention to do so. As concerning as the presence of those chains are, Alhaitham has a feeling it won't be that much of an issue if his hunches about certain things prove to be true. He supposes he'll find out when the time comes.
Until then, he'll take the document once it's handed over to him and everything else that he needs to cash in the bounty. As far as he's concerned, his job here is done; whatever happens next is going to be up to Cid himself.]
no subject
So it will a little time before Alhaitham will receive a cheerful message from Cid telling him to meet at their designated rendezvous point—a copse of woods just outside of town—and whenever Alhaitham arrives he'll find Cid just lounging on the ground, arms folded behind his head as he sits in the shade against a tree. He even has a small bag of apples next to him.]
no subject
The bag of apples is new, though.]
Seems like you kept yourself busy.
[Those are the words that Alhaitham greets Cid with once they meet back up at their prearranged spot. A quick once over suggests that the elder had managed to get out with little to no trouble at all, which Alhaitham supposes is the best case scenario here... to some extent, anyway. This is far from the first time that Cid has done this, after all.
But that's something to deal with on another day. For now Alhaitham will simply reach into his coat and them pull out the bag of doubloons that had been given onto him as his reward for turning in Cid, which he now unceremoniously proceeds to carelessly toss right to the man himself, not caring for the fact if it ends up hitting him in the face instead.]
no subject
[Said with a grin before he has to hastily reach out and catch the bag with his hand. Good thing he has good reflexes or it really would have hit him in the face. Wow, Alhaitham—]
Have you taken your share?
no subject
I have. [He says in response to the question. Kaveh wasn't exactly the happy about it, but Kaveh has been having a lot of opinions about this whole scheme in general. But ultimately its not really his buisiness since Cid is an adult who makes his own decisions, regardless of either of their opinion.
Still, he does recognize the danger that this whole plan presents, so—] Anything happened while you were breaking out?
no subject
[He then fishes out the bent wire he had pocketed and waved it around.]
Wonders what an old bed spring can do.
[As in, pick locks.]
no subject
Then you'd better hope that they're still willing to provide you a bed at the next cell you get yourself into.
[You know they're going to catch on, Cid.]
no subject
Why do you think we pick the ones we do? But even if they don't, I have my ways.
[A much too cavalier wink. How many times he's done this you don't want to know—]
no subject
And really, there are many things that can be said here, but at the end of the day Cid is an adult, and Alhaitham knows better than to try and dictate what a man like him should be doing. It's also really none of his business anyway. All that really matters to him is—]
Don't go to Kaveh if you get injured. He's stressed enough as it is.
no subject
Don't worry, I don't plan on taking much if any. And I doubt we'll be doing this for much longer.
no subject
And so that's partly why Alhaitham gives him a brief, considering look with slightly narrowed eyes, but eventually just lets out a huff and turns away, not pressing on the issue any further.] As long as you remain aware of the risks that you are willingly taking.
[Cid did choose to do this, after all.]
no subject
I am always aware.
[And then a clap on Alhaitham's shoulder.]
Now, shall we be heading off?
no subject
He frowns and squints a bit when Cid claps his shoulder, but at the very least does not shrug it off; all he does is to nod to acquiesce with the question. They're both done and have gotten what they came for, so there's no more reason to linger.]
