Warnings: Probably? If people get drunk, or make out... but probably pretty general here.

Under the pretext of "I need some supplies" and Benedikta keeping Cid busy for any and all party business, and the help of Kaveh for some money to get said supplies, the Enterprise II is ready for a party! Another shellphone alert will have gone out to everyone but Cid with a time and place and a note that if you know Cid? Show up! Even if it's been a very brief meeting, it's likely Cid would remember you anyway; he's just Like That. Come for singing happy birthday, stay for some cake and dinner!

THE FOOD

Styled like what you'd find in one of the many taverns dotting Eltrut in a large buffet-styled table is plenty of tavern food and some casks filled (and marked appropriately) with alcohol and non-alcoholic mead, wines, and punches, straight from the Minstrel and Cask. Larger casks are found around the main area as well holding the same.

The cake itself is styled like a night in Waloed, long before any issues arose, almost as if taken straight from memories. Inside is a chocolate cake with some light lavender flavouring, and for those who want some lighter fare, some of the same cake has been made into cupcakes with mini lightning bolt-shaped cookies with some differing decor.

OUTSIDE

Outside has plenty of seating on the deck, tables, and places to watch the hustle and bustle of Eltrut, with some balloons hanging from some high-up strings above everyone's head. At night, the balloons will be lit up to look like stars, and the boat will pull out from harbor to at least circle the main island slowly. There aren't really any places for people to sneak off to (and if Mid catches you trying to break into crew quarters... so help her she'll tell her dad) but people can enjoy the sea breeze and some drinks under the stars.

As sort of a centerpiece is a small potted tree with many branches, and slips of parchment with ribbon ties, and quills for writing to act as a guestbook but also a memory tree. Even if you haven't known Cid for too long, you can still write something nice!



Overall this is very much a mingle post! Drink, eat, be merry, and wish Cid Telamon a happy birthday!

[A slight roll of his eyes.]

All right, fine, I'll allow it for today.

[But he smiles, one that is a bit light.]

Now, have you tried that cheese wheel?

[vermilloci]

[ There's a triumphant glimmer in her eyes. ]

Not yet. Do you want some, oor.... Is this a way of dismissing me so someone else can meet you by the railing?

[ Wagging her brows. ]

[ramuhs]

[He just laughs as he pushes himself off the railing.]

I wouldn't be so rude. I'm actually feeling a bit peckish myself. And you have yet to tell me any new stories.

[vermilloci]

[ Briefly, she has the look of a student who completely forgot the assignment.

But she quickly recovers, grinning. ] A story? I'll have to think of one, I will. Eating cheese first might help.

[ramuhs]

Then I'll be sure you have a sizable slice.

[Of course he's just teasing, but he will help in cutting that cheese. It can be surprisingly difficult with the harder rounds....]

[vermilloci]

[ She's going to sample a bit of that, and a bit of this.

However, she does appear earnestly trying to think of something to share with him. Unfortunately, the blessing over her world gives her very little to work with. ] Um, hey... Sorry, I can't think of anything yet-- and I mean that honestly. But I did want to ask you about something else.

[ramuhs]

[He's also going to add some fruits to her plate because they pair well with cheese! And it's not like he's acting like a "dad" and making sure she's properly fed or anything no—maybe—old habits are hard okay]

Oh? Don't mind about that, but what did you want to ask?

[vermilloci]

[ She ain't saying no to more food, soo-- ]

What were you working on? When you were still injured?

[ramuhs]

[Let's get something to drink while we're at this—]

Me?

[...Hm, what was he doing let's see—]

Mostly working on some schematics for the Roost. While Kaveh is a fine man for the job, can't have him doing everything.

[vermilloci]

[ She looks at him inquisitively, as if expecting him to elaborate, but when he doesn't-- ] It was a good distraction, wasn't it?

[ramuhs]

[He can elaborate! He just doesn't want to bore her with details.]

A fine one, really. You'll be able to enjoy some of those improvements soon, hopefully.

New lighting both above and on the ground will go a long way.

[vermilloci]

[ She envisioning it in her mind. ] Looks like you're really trying to make this place a home.

[ramuhs]

Considering it might very well be for some, might as well make it comfortable. Having lived in a cave before, it really does do wonders for the mentality.

[He's grinning, though. Part joke?]

[vermilloci]

[ UM YEAH WHAT— She coughs into her hand, clearing her throat. ] You lived in a cave…?

[ramuhs]

[And now he laughs at her reaction.]

Effectively. More accurately they were old Forgotten Ruins that were hidden away within some canyons. Whether they were built there or if they were buried or time I can't say, but it served our purpose quite well.

[vermilloci]

[ Okay, so Ruins are cool, and that is FACTS. But. Caves. ] Did the ancients in your world never build on beaches?

[ramuhs]

[He opens his mouth to answer before he pauses and tilts his head in thought.]

...Honestly, I have no idea. Near the coast for certain, but on beaches themselves like here... No, I do not believe so. At the very least, none have been found so far.

[vermilloci]

[ There's a sigh, playfully disappointed. ] That's a shame. You could have had a hub that was an ancient civilization's beach resort.

[ramuhs]

Well now that you mention it, that would have been more ideal wouldn't it?

[A laugh.]

But then we run the risk of unwanted tourists stumbling around, so perhaps for the best.
