Throughout the month of may, Alhaitham and Kaveh are primarily on Eltrut. Mostly at home. Unfortunately, deep emotional distress and physical injury doesn't prevent the need for things like groceries and doing work, and thus, for those who know them, one of three things can happen:

A. Kaveh has called or texted you, in increasingly tired and desperate tones, to ask if you can come play chess with Alhaitham for an hour or two.

B. Alhaitham has texted you, flatly, to come distract Kaveh from his sadness for an hour or two.

C. Both of them did this to the same person.

[Heizou is... trying. He will probably never stop thinking it's weird that Kaveh insists on being his friend, especially when attached (almost literally) to that friendship is Alhaitham, who seems equally disinterested in the very same thing.

And then there's... this. He should've known to expect something like this, especially when they'd literally talked about the idea before. But Heizou had kind of hoped it would stay that way, so now that he's staring at a text he never imagined would actually arrive, he's so, so tempted to just say "no." Just to spare himself from getting pinned with Alhaitham's patented look of disapproval.

Except instead he thinks about Kaveh pulling puppy dog eyes and starting to cry. So-]

[ Orchid spends more time on the Phantom Moon than she does in any city, she is still getting used to the shellphone devices - not checking them very often. It's how she missed Kaveh's post about the massive flowers that he'd somehow produced. Now she's getting to see them in person, the bright tall flowers standing out to her more than anything else.

They draw her in, of course, as she should be being a flower herself. Uncertain of whose home this was, she avoids knocking on the front door to head to the plants first. ]

Oh, what beautiful flowers. [ Orchid will reach out to touch one of the mourning flowers. ] I see. You're very healthy, but grown too big. I can try to heal you until you're back to your normal size.

[ She appears to be talking to the plant, but more importantly... why does it seem like she's listening to the flower in return? ]

[The flowers are a little uncertain, about being smaller, though it is in truth better for them. The thing is, they overbloomed so spectacularly because Kaveh loves these flowers, and so they in turn love him and want to bloom their brightest for him. How could they not? Despite their size and overwhelming presence, he has done his best to care for them--soil checkers, an automated watering system, and a little apple sheep, eating away the annoying bugs at their leaves.

He is not an experienced or even very talented gardener, but he is diligent, and he loves them.

Speaking of which, he heard someone talking, so Kaveh's popped his head out the back door to see who it is.]

[Truth be told, Kaveh only means to stop by the Seventh Heaven for a little bit. He'd finished his errands faster than anticipated, and he hasn't had anything to drink this entire time....he needs one. The plan was to buy a couple bottles to take home, but he does also get something to drink while he waits. It can't hurt anything, right? He won't be here too long, right?

It's fine, it's totally fine, he's just gonna sit down without quite realizing he knows people at the bar here today.

[Zack is not very good at staying idle. Lo and behold it's Zack who's puttering around the bar today so it's him who wanders out to where Kaveh is with one arm holding a box of bottles when he sees Kaveh there.]

[being in the crew and also friends with a good chunk of the crew means knowing the happenings going on. kaveh and alhaitham being out of commission is one such happening. needless to say, getting a text from either isn't too surprising. getting a text from both in close succession is... not that surprising, either.

[Honestly, after the last time they spoke to each other (I.E. back on Norhpip when they tried to kill each other), Lyney kind of thought Alhaitham didn't want anything to do with him anymore. In fact, aside from anonymously replying to his survey once, Lyney's been keeping his distance as well. So the text is a surprise, and he makes that known.]
