[ It really shouldn't come as a surprise to see a very red cat strolling around Eltrut. It even has a little scarf about its neck. G'raha had wanted to see if the spell actually worked.

It does.

But apparently he is going to spend his time just basking in the wonderful sunlight. Snoozing. Looks like he is about to get some much needed rest!

💎 Starships ( Close CR Only )

[ G'raha has everything that is needed for this little joint adventure. Parchment. Writing utensils. A compass. Even current star maps. He seems a little excited for this, apparently bringing snacks and a blanket along. ]

I wouldn't say that this is a particular skill of mine, charting the stars and all. Or cartography, for that matter. Yet the idea of new stars appearing in the sky is exciting, is it not? To think that, somewhere, a something new has been born brings about a sense of hope.

[ At least it does for him. How can anyone refute it, with the way his tail swishes and the gleam in his eye. Really, he just wants to look at stars like the helpless romantic sort he is. ]

💎 Book Bites

[ Anywhere that books are stored should be considered a sacred place. After all, it is a place of learning but also a place where knowledge is kept and stored for future generations or those in need. So to learn that something has been eating the pages is nothing short of disastrous.]

Now where could the creature responsible for this be?

[ At the present moment, he is following what appears to be some bit of a chewed up paper tail. He's looking under one of the reading chairs. Tail wiggling around as he tries to see proper. ]

💎 Get Shirty

[ Now the real question is... Who would have wanted to have switched clothing with G'raha?

The answer might be more simple than you think, since he is grabbing onto the hands of the person near him. Holding them with bright eyes that are just begging. ]

Surely a bit of fun is permitted? Doubtful you could tarnish my reputation in any way...

[ Alternatively... Perhaps this scene has already played out. Now there are consequences to allowing G'raha to switch clothing with you.

The consequences are - well he has been playing pranks. Harmless things, but enough that people are starting to get exasperated and maybe it is time to stop? ]

💎 Everybody's Grudge

[ He had heard of these strange Tonberries from Zack and others. But the reality is, he needs to see it with his own eyes. ]

I wonder... If these individuals are cursed as well?

[ Since that is how thing are back where he hails from. Still, as unfortunate as it might be? They might not have a choice regarding whether or not there is a need to take down this Tonberry. ]

[ The shoebill rattles its beak in what is presumably some form of unique, avian laughter. Sweet, sweet revenge. >:)

It picks its way over to the fallen cat and bends down to examine it. Come on, it's not like it stabbed you in the back with its beak-- ]

[ Well that's one way to get revenge >:( Just lucky his poor tail isn't soaked. Does horrible things to his balance.

Please don't put it in his mind about the whole stabbing and in the back thing. It's a bit of a sore spot here and there, yeah? But at least this body doesn't suffer the affer effects of their little mishap in the past.

But the cat is definitely batting at the shoebill's beak. ]

[ Bap, bap, bap-- The shoebill doesn't retaliate but it doesn't look pleased about it either. It continues to stare imposingly at the cat for a little while. Then opens its beak and tries to grab the offending paw. ]

[ No! Not the paw! Cat is going to try to take it back. Wiggle it around and pull.

Why... He is totally utterly harmless! ]

[ The shoebill remains latched on to the paw for a few more seconds. Then reluctantly releases it mid-flail. Slowly stalking back on to dry land, the large bird shakes out its feathers one more time and then settles properly on the ground.

It seems like it has deemed the cat a harmless nuisance and now wants to try and nap. ]

[ Now is the giant bird really sure that he wants to do all of that? Now the cat is very much glad to have his paw back, but very much in cat fashion...

He can't leave things alone. So time for him to get up and trot after the bird.

:) ]

[ The shoebill watches the cat approach with a narrow-eyed look. Or what passes for one from this large bird. But since it has chosen its spot to settle down, it doesn't want to move. So it can only try to clack its beak in warning as the cat closes in. ]

[ The clacking of the beak makes the cat pause. Like midstep pause, freezing in place. As though the cat is waiting for the bird to settle again.

[ The shoebill stares down the cat for a few moments. Then, apparently deciding the cat will not approach, turns its head away and gets comfortable for a well-deserved nap. ]

[ AND THAT'S WHEN THE CAT TAKES TO THE AIR. HE BOUNDS. LEAPS. **POUNCES** ]

[ A loud, ear-splitting sound erupts. The shoebill flounders and flails, trying to shake the cat off its back!!!

Considering it can't get to its feet easily right now, it resembles something like a brawl. ]

[ Okay okay okay. That's not quite what he had expected. Had the bird really thought that the cat wouldn't pounce? Really?

Now everything is a mess. A tangle of limbs and struggling to get away. ]

[ This shoebill had hope and it was betrayed!!! In the confusion, it ends up awkwardly on its side with its long legs sticking out. And when the cat finally manages to get itself free, the bird seems to glare at it sulkily as it lets out an irritated rattle.

If you want to nap with him, no sneaky pouncing. >:( ]

[ Hmm. To nap or to incite further chaos. Those are such hard choices!

What is his motivation, as he sits there. Tail lashing about. ]

[ Clumsily, the bird rights itself and sits there with feathers fluffed out, clearly still annoyed by the ambush. With slow, jerky movements, it jabs its beak at a spot beside it and stares pointedly at the cat. ]

[ WELL FINE. He supposes that he's created enough chaos. But don't get him wrong. He isn't cooperating because the bird looks annoyed. Nope. Cooperation is happening because he wants it to -

As cats do.

So okay. The bird will get its way, with one cat flopping right where that beak indicated to. ]

[ Satisfied, the shoebill eventually stops resembling a large, grey, pincushion. After watching the cat for a little while, it decides that it's safe to try falling asleep again. Slowly, slowly, its eyes slide shut...until it is fast asleep. ]
