Aye, so it is for the both of our schedules.
[ Hopefully she doesn't find the feline themes a little too on the nose. It can't be helped. He thought that the creativeness of the staff should be shared. ]
As for the occasion, I might have just returned from a visit home. Well, mayhap not Sharlayan, per se...

Her brow furrows for but a moment as the implication sinks in. But as if to make sure she was understanding him correctly, her response was soft spoken and careful. ]
You visited home... as in, you were able to return to our star? Our timeline?

When she mentions "able to return" he gives a wry grin. ]
Aye, indeed. Now I am most curious about what you thought I would discover when I did.

Well, when we last spoke of home it was about the mysteries of the Twelve and of the upcoming trip to Tuliyollal.
[ She had been so excited to set sail. The chance to discover the mystery behind the missive her grandfather had received from the Dawn Servant tucked away in the annex. Without thinking, after having set the pastry down already, she touched the clover earring that hung from her left ear. Already she felt the beginnings of eager anticipation begin to grow. ]
Were I a betting woman I would wager that, perhaps, you've learned something of either? Or even both?

His ears perk up. Krile knows him well by now and doesn't really have to guess what it is that he is implying. She is already aware. Thus G'raha nods. ]
Both, aye, though we're not quite done with Tuliyollal just yet. The Scions and Students alike seem to have some more mysteries to unravel.
[ He gives her a smile. G'raha doesn't know if she has went through the experience herself yet. Though... There is so much that they need to understand. Why had that gate been there? The key that unlocked it had been given to Krile's ancestors with no record of how it had been obtained. Then there is also the matter of the Alexandrians themselves... ]

[ As star-shattering as that revelation had been, Krile could not contain how eager she was about their journey to the New World. Krile wanted to know. She well and truly wished to know if the Dawn Servant had not only confirmed the authenticity of the letter but had answers to the numerous questions that were bouncing around her head. But would it be okay for her to ask?
For the time being, she opted for what she hoped to be a safe question - hands clasped together on her lap as if that would successfully hide how anxious she felt. ]
But regarding the latter... does that mean the Rite of Succession is still underway? Or are these mysteries you mentioned about something more?

[ To be able to contribute and to not be left behind. At that moment, how could G'raha have refused her request? There would have been no way for the Miqo'te to have taken that spot on the boat instead of her. Krile had been owed the same opportunity that G'raha had been.
Then she asks about the Rite of Succession. At least his fond smile doesn't waver. ]
Now what would you do if I told you that answer? I am sure you are clever enough to piece together the answer to that particular question.
[ Raha will never not be a brat. ]

I still cannot thank you enough for allowing me the chance. And I can only hope I haven't let you down either!
[ Her smile soon gave way to a rather humorous expression - cheeks puffed as she floundered for a response. So, as a gesture to keep herself from asking any further she promptly takes up the pastry and finally, aggressively even, takes a large bite of it. The fluffy texture and sweet flavors would normally be enough to quell her weary or frustrated mind.
And, in fact, for a moment it does. She makes a quiet hum of content. But the reaction was fleeting because the moment she looked back up to G'raha - seeing that smile of his and the lack of a direct answer - made her huff. At herself? At her friend? Why not both?
Oh- there she goes, taking another bite. The muffled sounds she makes could be interpreted as words. Something along the lines of 'You're just being silly now' perhaps?]

[ His return smile is soft, fond. There is no one on the star that deserved the opportunity more than she, in G'raha's opinion. Full glad is he to have been able to step aside to give her what she had needed at the time. In the end, it isn't as though he really missed out on any grand adventure. Even if the circumstances had been rather unfavorable, he had still been a part of matters in the end.
How could he ever possibly think that her desires had been too much to put his own aside for?
The expression changes into something impish. Amused as Krile seems to have taken to eating to avoid whatever it is that she had been thinking to say. And so he chuckles, sliding a plate closer to his friend. ]
I daresay that you might prefer the "silly" over other ways I could be, yes?
