What: Felix is getting some things done now that someone's mental health isn't holding him back.

A. Seeds of Hope

[Felix has experience with plants having magical properties, which has drawn his attention to the various new species from the Abyss. He'd told one of the scientist-types researching this that he'd help, so he's been working the patch of ground they directed him toward. He's also relieved that these seem to grow fairly quickly on their own, as he initially overlooked the fact that he can't use any of his own Growth or other vegetation-based Psynergy here at the moment. But he can still do plenty with the ground itself, at least.

Currently, he has a small patch that already consists of a variety of fruit and vegetable plants, including one of the upside-down trees. He's sliced open some of its fruits and picked out quite a few new seeds. Now Felix is kneeling on the dirt, carefully positioning each seed in one hand. Then he sticks his other arm out, palm extended. In each spot he goes to, the dirt in front of him suddenly floats in the air, and Felix places the carefully positioned seed inside the hole before the soil trickles back down into place.

If you are attuned to mental and/or elemental magic, you may see that there's a light enveloping him each time this happens and a large ghostly hand is actually doing the digging. He's got a lot of seeds on hand, and a lot of dirt that doesn't seem to have anything growing on it just yet. It's safe to assume he has a lot more work to do here still.]

B. Fowl Play

[Felix has seen a lot of strange creatures that he's had to fight on Weyard, but giant turkey monsters is definitely a weird one for him. But people are in serious danger, so he's joined in the fighting.

He's equipped with a sword and using his Psynergy to battle, for whatever that's worth depending on whether or not you can see it. The earthquakes he's causing and stalactites that fall from out of the blue are more noticeable to the general public. Sorry? At least they're only harming the turkeys.

Alternately, Felix will also stop to help anyone who's been injured by the birds by using his healing powers. He can conveniently notice anyone who needs help!]

C. Wildcard

[what goes more hand in hand than an earth malak helping out with planting? it's an understandable sort of match. it's as eizen heads out to plant some stuff that he walks by felix. he doesn't pay the other much mind, that is, until an odd glow causes him to pause in his steps. given the fact that eizen is an elemental being, he spots that ghostly hand fairly quickly. he silently watches a bit, before speaking up.]

That's a handy ability. First time I've ever seen anyone ought right summon a hand like that.

Felix looks up at him in surprise at being addressed, and the Scoop Psynergy he just cast digs and refills a hole over nothing. The average person around here didn't seem to be able to see his Adept powers. That, and he hadn't really expected anyone else to show up.]

That's not exactly what it is. However, you are right about it being useful.

[Felix seems to be pausing his task to speak to Eizen.]

Mental energy that's focused to perform skills. Or "Psynergy", put simply.

[Because as much as they always claim they need to hide it from outsiders, they literally never try to.]

Mental energy is a new one to me, I'll admit. Are the skills you mentioned purely ones similar to your helping hand here, or does that mental energy let you use elemental abilities and the like, as well?

[Felix nods. He wasn't expecting someone who wasn't from Weyard to catch on to the specifics so quickly. It has him curious, admittedly.]

It does. The powers come from Alchemy, which means they stem from the four elements. Scoop is obviously earth-based, for example.

[so alchemy is tied to the elements to that degree. it's different from how alchemy and magic works in his would, but nothing he can't wrap his mind around.]

Makes sense. If it's all related to Alchemy, can anyone learn to use it?

You have to be born as an Adept.

[He pauses.]

Or, at least have the capacity to be one. People have their powers awaken after something happens at times.

[It's sure what he's been hearing ever since he caused that volcanic eruption, at least. Oops?]

'Something happens at times' doesn't explain all that much. You mind giving an example of that sort of something?

I've heard of people who could only use their powers after they were struck by a Psynergy Stone. That started recently, though. After an eruption sent them scattered them across the continent.
