A - Skateboarding

[Well. He was invited to do this.

Roxas has made his way to Nograd, determined to finally do some proper skateboarding. Given his nerves about being a Paladin in a land of Corsairs though, he's disguised himself with a hood and a mask. He's not here to cause trouble, after all. Just see what he can do about shredding on those bones. And it's hard not to be excited about that.

You might catch a glimpse of him as he speeds by, this masked skater, and he's pulling off a few impressive tricks as he goes.]


B - Jumping Jellies

[In retrospect, Roxas probably shouldn't have been using thunder.

But it's the age old understanding that water-based creatures are weak to electricity, combined with a stark reminder of the slugs that infested the Mighty Explosion God Ship Bomb several months ago. And well, sometimes you approach that which grosses you out with extreme prejudice. So all in all, Roxas had his reasons.

Electricity has its failings though, or maybe it's just Roxas, because the shock that spreads through the Jellyfish does cause their tentacles to flail. And it's not like Roxas wears a coat that protects him anymore.

The bottom line is, he gets hit. And barely has time to cry out in pain before the paralysis sets in. He hits the sand, the keyblades falling out of his hand and disappearing in a flash of light.

And he might be in a little bit of trouble.]


C - Cat Snap Adventure

[It's just taking a few photos. That's all.

And maybe a chance for Addersnap to meet some friends? At least, that's what Roxas hopes.

He's a little worried about the wild cats so he sends Addersnap ahead while he starts making his way in land, camera out and ready. But it's a little intimidating to be in a forest on your own.]

Uh...here kitty, kitty, kitty....

Jumping Jellies

[This seems like an easy enough quest. He's taken down jellyfish before. Bigger and freakier than these fuckers. These ones have the appropriate amount of jellyfish eyes--ie:none.

All is going well until he hears Roxas hit the ground. He'd been aware the other was nearby fighting. He tries to keep an awareness of his surroundings in a battle. But he hadn't really been paying him much mind until the thud of his body hitting the sand.

Well, shit.

He finishes off the one he's dealing with before he comes over to investigate. Taking out the jelly that caught him with its tentacles before he lands beside him. He crouches down to investigate.]

Oy, you conscious?

[Let him assess how bad it is.]

....uummmm.....

[Is about all Roxas can get out in his paralyzed state, though he's trying to fight through the paralysis. That's how this usually works, right?]

...es...na...

[He's trying to say Esuna, if that means anything.]

[Okay so... conscious at least. But definitely not okay. He doesn't have a clue what he's saying though. He keeps an eye on those jelly tendrils as he grabs Roxas' arms to drag him further up the beach and out of their reach. Not like they can come out of the water.

...Probably. He pulls Roxas a little further just to be safe. Then he's checking the spot where he was hit.]

[All Roxas can really do at the moment is groan, though it's not for a lack of effort in trying to move. It's just frustrating.

And there's definitely a few spots that are red and not pleasant.]

[Katsuki assesses the marks and checks to be sure Roxas isn't struggling to breathe or anything like that. How does one treat a jellyfish sting? He doesn't know. So assured Roxas isn't dying at least, he picks him up. Mindful of the wounds.]

Ugh. Guess we're done with this for now. Gonna find you medical attention.

[Even if Bakugou is mindful, there's still a sharp intake of breath from Roxas and he's acutely aware of the stings. There's a sense he's still tryin to break through the paralysis.]

[There's some rustling in the trees ahead. Enough to seemingly draw Roxas over with the possibility of snapping a photo of an elusive cat. But when Roxas gets close, he'll see that it's not a warrior cat, but... Pino?]

[Pino, who coos at Roxas, and spreads her wings out as if in greeting.]

[He just does not seem to be having luck getting cat pictures on this island. It hardly seems fair.

He sighs at Pino.]

You're also not a cat.

[Pink coos at Roxas, before bringing a feathered 'finger' up to her beak, miming a shushing action. She then turns and flaps to another branch in another tree, cooing loudly.]

[While she does, several paces off, there's some rustling in the branches. And if Roxas looks close enough, he'll see what appears to be a tiny, furred body stalking through the underbrush.]

[Roxas is about to open his mouth again, mostly to ask where Rody is but then quickly goes quiet. Because finally. He's been trying to get these cats for hours.

He takes out the shellphone to switch it to camera mode.]

[anhonestsoul]

[Get that camera ready Roxas, because that cat is crawling forward! It's attention seems to be solely on Pino, who continues to coo and pose to get the cat's attention. Now's the perfect time to snap a few photos!]

[Though, he better snap quickly, that cat looks ready to pounce.]

[Pino, no! You don't need to sacrifice yourself for Roxas's pictures!

But he'll accept it, and try to take as many as he can. It's harder than it looks though, with foliage and all that. But eventually he'll wave for Pino to leave.]

[anhonestsoul]

[Pino blinks, looking up at Roxas when he waves at him. She gets ready to fly over, but that's when the cat tries to pounce at her. She lets out a frightened squawk and flaps up, trying to get out of the cat's reach.]

Pino!

[And there comes Rody, coming through the foliage as well. The cat hisses at them, not appreciating being interrupted in its hunt!]

[Addersnap runs and leaps off of Roxas's back to get himself inbetween the wild cat and Pino, back arched and puffed out to make himself big.]

Careful! I think it's mad!

[And they don't need to be scratched up.]

[Pino lets out a surprised warble before darting back to Pino, who snatches her up before the cat can.]

Yeah, well it's not the one with friends out here!

[Once Pino is safe Rody lifts his arms and waves the edges of his coat a bit, making himself seem bigger. Between both humans and the weird bird, the cat lets out an angry hiss before darting back into the foliage. Rody lets out a sigh, before turning to Roxas and offering a fist bump.]

Nice work there, Blondie. You get some good photos?

Logically, Ventus knows that there are things that he and Roxas still needs to talk about. He's not exactly even sure where to start either, but it's better than to just let things be as they are and well...

With Vanitas around somewhere, it's probably better to get their ducks in a row.

So, he ends up sending Roxas a text:]

[Some part of Roxas was expecting this. But somehow it also came sooner than than expected.

He muddles around for a response.]

Yeah, pretty much.

I was wondering if we can talk.

[That…sounds bad. Oops.]

Yeah.

I guess.

[Roxas, you're going to make him think you're afraid of him or something.]

[There's a part of him that might be, if he's being a little bit honest.]

[And Ventus will be patiently waiting for Roxas whenever he shows up.]

[It takes Roxas a little bit of time to get there. Not because he's running late or anything like that. More because he has to take time to psych himself up. There is a Conversation coming and he's not sure if he's ready for it.

But eventually he takes a breath and walks forward.]
