[She immediately slides onto a stool at the bar, knowing full well that someone had just been sitting there and had gotten up and walked away for a moment, and she slides their drink out of her way before she starts to pick at and straighten her hair, brushing the feathers that had been caught in it away.]

Anything good?

[She's never been to this particular tavern before, and though she doubts that Dion has, she searches for a menu and slides it across the counter at him.]

Or perhaps... anything with roasted goose in it?

Amusing though that would be, it seems as though they don't have that, however they do have a hearty stout stew, made with game meat if that suits your fancy.

[ They were just running around, a heavier meal is not out of the question for Dion at least. ]

Anything with meat might suit my fancy right now.

[She presses her fingers to her forehead and rubs her temple as the bartender hands them their ales.]

I suppose I may owe you now for that favour in helping me with that thing. [Because she does not want to be further indebted to the Prince.] I'd never seen a hydra goose before.

[ He hadn't considered it a favour, more like bad luck for both of them at the same time. ]

I should think you helped me as much as I helped you, so we are probably even. [ Not that he wouldn't enjoy having a favour over Benedikta - but this one didn't seem to be it. ]

Neither have I, in all of my limited travels.

[Well. He's getting it anyway. At some point. Somewhere down the line when she is feeling generous.]

Even in my not so limited... The turkeys that lived on the farms of Sanbreque were as fearsome as they come. I wondered if they knew that I held Garuda within me, and the same goes for the goose.

... That was not the first attack.

Has that influenced your relationship with birds much? [ Dion sounds genuinely curious. He hasn't had any particular trouble with wyverns in the past, but they're not generally friendly to begin with.

Maybe he has. ]

I had not considered that to be a possibility.

I've not the faintest clue.

[She reaches for that large mug of ale and downs a sip.]

Not exactly something I'm looking to experiment with in the future, but if I were to guess, I'd say yes. Unfortunately. One would think they'd be kinder to me, if that were the case.

You would think so. [ Dion agrees with a bit of a nod as he tries to think that over. ]

It's difficult to know how wild creatures think.

[She looks across at him, pausing as she brings her tankard to her lips.]

... You are not insinuating you think me a wild creature, are you?

What? Of course not. [ Dion looks affronted by that accusation. ]

Although I could not claim to know how you think either, but that's merely a matter of not knowing you well enough on a personal level.

[She thinks that if he did, things might not be quite so amicable that they could, at the very least, work together to take down a terrorizing goose.]
