Who: Kaveh and YOU
Status: Open
Where: Surasthana Cafe on Eltrut!
What: The grand opening of a book cafe.
Warnings: God I hope not.
[Kaveh hasn't talked much about what he's been working on for a few months now, because he wanted this moment to be a surprise (and because he didn't want to be scolded for overwork). It has finally paid off, now, with the grand opening of the Surasthana Cafe, just in time for the deep end of the fall season. The cafe is cozily furnished and warm, the smell of lovingly brewed coffee floats through the air, and soft music plays from Mehrak.
Kaveh isn't expecting a huge rush on any given day--this was done for his own sake more than anything, but now on weekday afternoons, the little book cafe can be found and people can stay a spell, enjoying expertly made coffee drinks and some light reading in a ridiculous plant paradise.
If you have any requests for new kinds of books, or wish to purchase various accessories, stop by the front counter! The owner is happy to accommodate you, after all.
ooc: you may also treat this post as a mingle and toplevel accordingly, just mark if you are doing so! Otherwise, Kaveh will be coming for you!]

c is for cat
The only thing that's left is an indulgence mostly for Kaveh, pushing the man's fringe back and pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. Surely this is not playing with fire.]
c is for cozy warm seniors who will comfort him from the trauma of being awake
That does change slightly when Kaveh reaches over to pushes the hair away from his face to plant that kiss. Alhaitham does stir then, but only just a little, a drowsy murmur rumbling from the back of his throat as he shifts every so slightly, mostly for the purposes of better feeling the warmth of Kaveh's touch against him. He's always been especially tactile around his husband, and doubly so when this deep in the throes of sleep, so really, its natural.]

[Kaveh murmurs gently, smoothing down Alhaitham's hair (as best anyone can, anyway), unmistakable warmth dripping from his voice.
It's fine, on a day like today--cold and sunny--to simply let Alhaitham nap away the afternoon.]
no subject
Alhaitham makes another unintelligible murmur as he shifts again, twisting just a little in an attempt to face the source of the lovely warmth that can only come from one person, quickly settling back down after, already drifting back to sleep. He is warm, and he is comfortable, and some part of him knows that Kaveh will be here when he wakes back up eventually.]

The fact the table is now littered in sketches and Kaveh's watching him with an air of INTENSE concentration, well--by now, that's pretty normal, too, isn't it?
One hopes the cafe's closed for the evening.]
no subject
He does so after taking in another deep breath, letting it out through his nose while opening his eyes at the same time—and just as suspected, his senior is the first thing he sees, seating across him with that look on his face that easily shows what he'd been doing, if the strewn papers on the table between them aren't already obvious enough.
Alhaitham says nothing though, partly because he's still in the middle of properly waking up, but his gaze flicks down to the myriad of sketches laid out for a moment before it returns to Kaveh, one corner of his lips curling up ever so slightly into a soft, sleepy smile. He's always enjoyed being the center of his husband's attention, and to see it in such a tangible manner only makes it better.]
no subject
[Kaveh laughs a little, cheeks warm--that smile is dangerous, and he'll be weak to it forever, he thinks. But where's the shame in that, being weak to his husband? In fact, he thinks he'd like to be.]
Hungry yet? I closed up already.
no subject
[Alhaitham simply hums as he shakes his head ever so slightly in response to the question, still too drowsy and comfortable to really feel like speaking, but there's no hiding the way his gaze grows warm as he sees the flush that comes up to his senior's face. Kaveh always does look so very appealing with that bit of red on his face.
He uses one hand to make a gesture at Kaveh then, signalling for his senior to come over. Even if its just across a table his husband is already too terribly far away for his tastes, and thus needs to be corrected.]
no subject
[He does stand up to come over to the chair Alhaitham is comfortably ensconced in, hands playfully on his hips. Truly, he'll give Alhaitham anything he wants (within reason), but why give up an opportunity to tease him when he's too sleepy to fight back?]
What sort of spoiling are you demanding now, my irascible junior?
no subject
Anyway, all Alhaitham really does in response to Kaveh's question is to give his husband a beseeching look that probably would not work in any other scenario except in this very instance. The ruffled hair and warm blanket still tucked around him probably helps too.
C'mon senior, you know you want to join him. They haven't cuddled at all since this morning and he wants his recharge now.]
no subject
[But Kaveh huffs out a laugh, only pausing to lift up the blanket so he can settle down with Alhaitham properly. Mehrak takes it, prepared to drape it over them if they both doze back off, despite Kaveh's waved hand. Shh, it's fine, they're definitely going to make it to dinner.]
no subject
Warm. [He rumbles out, pleased, and how could he not? The cafe is a lovely place now that he's had enough time to be in here, he's comfortable in his chair and Kaveh is nice and snug in his arms. There's not much else that he desires, beyond all this.]
no subject
They don't know how long they'll be here. And research is not always a fast thing; Kaveh needs things to fill his time. Something like this...pleases the both of them.]
no subject
He presses a kiss to his senior's neck, the arms around him giving a little squeeze as he settles in comfortably, very much intent on enjoy this moment that they have for as long as possible... or at least until his legs start complaining about having to be sat on by a fully grown man. Kaveh may not be as heavy as him but he's still hefty, alright.]
no subject
Do you know what you want for dinner tonight?
[Kaveh's asking mostly idly, more concerned with playing with Alhaitham's hair...truly, this cafe is one of the better ideas he's had, seeing how relaxed and comfortable Alhaitham is here.]
no subject
He hums at the question, thinking about it a little, but mostly he's just as distracted by the feel of Kaveh's fingers in his hair.]
Something with roti. [He eventually does give his answer after a while. But even after having said that, he makes no attempt to move himself or get Kaveh off his lap just yet.]
no subject
[Kaveh snorts, but he's not going to stop spoiling the man until he's forced to get up. And why should he? He's comfy here, thank you.]
no subject
[Its an easy refutation, but also one that doesn't have any real heat in it because he is still very much enjoying having his senior in his lap. Kaveh is nice to hold and even nicer to cuddle with. Nice and warm and soft.
He noses at the spot behind Kaveh's ear, planting a kiss there as he hums again, just as content with staying right where he is. Kaveh is here, after all.]
no subject
[Kaveh laughs softly, and presses a mirrored kiss to Alhaitham's temple, brushing his fringe back with his hands to do it.]
Come on, before your legs fall asleep, Haitham.
no subject
...really, its just nice, knowing that he is able to have this anytime he wants. That Kaveh loves him enough to give him this. The thought of it alone is always enough to make his chest warm.
He tightens his arms around Kaveh when he tries to nudge himself off his lap, humming in a show of thinking it over for a bit before going on to say, with no ounce of shame whatsoever:] Give me a kiss first and I'll consider it.
no subject
[Kaveh huffs in mock indignation, but hasn't he already taken Alhaitham's face in his hands to kiss him.
Eleven months were stolen from them, for a year back in Sumeru where this seemed like a distant and faraway dream. But here, with the clarity of hindsight, Kaveh can see it; the foundations they'd rebuilt already, pouring new understanding into the cracks that were never really beyond repair as they seemed. There is hope, already growing, a fragile-looking but tenacious weed, and while Kaveh will not let what they know be taken again, there is a comfort in knowing they will not lose each other, not really, because their path leads to this same place.]
no subject
He knows full well where they stand back in Sumeru, where everything about this place might as well not even exist. But just like Kaveh he too can see the beginnings of what they've managed to build together here, a love that he will eventually come to discover and learn and then cherish with his entire being. And while he is fully onboard on their search to preserve this memories, he also knows that there is nothing to fear regardless of the outcome of that search; even if the time comes where they have to forget again, Alhaitham is confident that they'll come back to the same place where they are now—together, and secure in the knowledge that they'll always choose each other, no matter what.
A long time passes before they finally part, but even then Alhaitham only gives himself a second to catch his breath before he's leaning back in, clearly trying to push his luck for more.]
no subject
Hey, enough. We best get you dinner before you're hungry enough to get cranky!
[Not to mention before Kaveh gets hangry...the problem with being fed regularly is one starts to remember that one craves food.]
no subject
Hmm... [He gives that hum which has never meant anything good as he runs his both of his hands up each of Kaveh's sides.] Maybe I'll just have you for dinner, then, when that happens.
[He's joking, of course. Probably.]
no subject
[Kaveh does shiver, of course he does, but of the two of them he is capable of keeping himself on task in the face of temptation! ...Mostly! Kinda!
But food really is important.]
Whatever happened to Mister "I'd expect the top mind of the Kshahrewar to understand the concept of regular mealtimes", hmmmm?
