[And his lips already move to her cheek and then her jaw, hands moving to her side.]

[garudas]

[She nuzzles into his neck, lips trailing along the curve of his shoulder, welcoming the touch that she has missed in the last few hours.]

But I want to know what you have in those boxes.

[ramuhs]

More than you want me?

[A playful nip at her neck.]

[garudas]

Oh...

[She drags him down onto the couch with her, legs wrapping around his waist to keep him from escaping, as if he would.]

That is unfair, Cidolfus. You know well enough what will happen if we indulge now...

[Yet here she is, not doing anything to stop him, and even pulling him in for a kiss.]

[ramuhs]

[A rumbling chuckle as he accepts that kiss, pulling her in further as he leans back against the couch.]

Mm...quite the quandary.

[garudas]

Mm... Indeed.

[She rests against him, and whatever tension she had left in her body leaves her in a single exhale.]

Whatever will you do...? Free me so I can fetch your Winterstide gift, or perhaps we will be stuck here for the rest of the night?

[ramuhs]

[He looks to be in clear turmoil before he sighs and releases her, arms swung out wide.]

Might as well do it now.

[garudas]

[There is clear disappointment when he releases her from his hold, and she clings to him for several seconds more, drawing on his warmth as much as she can.

But with a dramatic sigh and a click of her tongue, she leans back and starts to push herself up. Carefully this time.]

Wait here while I go fetch yours. Do not move.

[ramuhs]

Where else would I go?

[Once she's up, he just spreads his arms out abainst the back of the couch and crosses his ankle over his knee as he grins lazily, as if taunting her like a fox.]

[garudas]

[Oh, that taunting is working. It's clear by the way her eyes rove lazily and fondly over him that she is at an impasse, caught between wanting to grab what she needed to grab and leaping right back into his lap to settle there for the rest of the night. She chews on her lip, smiling, before she turns and saunters away to their bedroom, hips swaying in that way they always do to make sure that she grabs his attention and keeps it until she disappears.

Only for her to come scurrying back moments later with a bag draped over her arm, a box, and a satchel in her other hand, and she tumbles right onto the couch when she arrives back, her cheeks already uncharacteristically red with anticipation.]

Me first.

[ramuhs]

[His eyes will certainly remain fixed on those hips, smiling to himself a bit when she finally disappears before gathering the gifts he brought again into a neater pile next to him. He does wonder what she could have gotten, and that question only deepens when she returns with more than he expected.]

Of course. Choose whichever you want.

[There are four distinct gifts: a long, thin box; a medium sized box; an even smaller box; and a velvet pouch.]

[garudas]

[The spread before her certainly feels like more now that it's all arranged neatly for her to pick from.]

Spoiling me as always. You did not have to get so much...

[Says her, getting roughly the same amount.

But she will have to deliberate first before she points to... the small box.]

This one.

[She looks to him for his approval.]

[ramuhs]

[There's a small look of surprise...

...

And then some hesitation.]

Perhaps that one would be better for last.

[And going to try pull that small one away...]

[garudas]

Oh? But I thought you said to choose whichever I wanted.

[Her grip on it tightens, but she does let him take it from her with a small bit of effort. Now she really wants to know what's in the little box, and the way her eyes follow it says as much.]

In that case... [She picks up the largest box.] We shall start with this one?

[ramuhs]

[He didn't think she'd pick the small one first!! Although in hindsight he should have kept it hidden and saved it for last from the start...no, actually it shouldn't have mattered and up until that point it didn't, but somehow he got a sudden flare of nerves when she picked if first of all things.

Bit ridiculous, he knows, yet...

Anyway, he just pulls back the rest to give her more space.]

Go ahead. Just don't swing it around too much.

[A wry joke, perhaps a hint?

And once she undoes the ribbon tying the box together and open it, she will find a new rapier resting within, the steel having a tinge of blue and the handle with an intricate yet elegant design.]

[garudas]

[Perhaps, but she does not think too much about the hint as she unravels the ribbon, only flashing him a curious yet fond grin before she opens it fully. Within, a new blade unlike one she has ever seen before sits, and she runs her fingers over the steel in awe.]

Cidolfus... a new sword?

[Carefully, she takes it out of the box and lets it rest on her hands, weighing it as she does. It's light, just how she likes it, the actual blade itself long and thin and suited to her more subtle yet elegant tastes.]

It is beautiful.

[ramuhs]

[He smiles proudly at her reaction.]

I know your own blade is fine, but I thought it wouldn't hurt if you had another option.

This one here is called the "Frostwyrm Rapier," capable of cutting through thick ice and even create blasts of ice with each swing.

[garudas]

Ice?

[She seems surprised by that, but pleasantly.]

What might Garuda think of me wielding Shiva's domain?

[A light giggle as she continues to admire the sword, turning it around in her hands and watching as the pristine blue-tipped steel shines in the light.]

I wonder how this might work with the winds...

[ramuhs]

I'm sure you could create something extraordinary.

[And while that's half flattery, it's also sincere.]

[garudas]

I am sure that I can.

[Her finger trails along the sharp edge of it, though not firmly enough that she would cut herself. But she sets it down carefully on the table, not wanting it to get in the way as she leans in to kiss him.]

Perhaps I could give it its first test run on a bounty. Together?

[ramuhs]

[He smiles into that kiss before he looks at her.]

Has been a while since we've been on one. We should try to choose one that would work well given the sword's properties.

[garudas]

Mm, or might it be better if we gave it a true test in both the sword and my skills by going in the opposite direction?

[Another soft kiss that she smiles lazily into.]

I will bring it with me on our next adventure regardless. Thank you, Cidolfus.

[While she does still hold her sword near and dear, as it was her very first sword made specially for her, this one now holds a special place in her heart. It came from him, so of course it does, but it is more than that. Their first Winterstide together as... this. Whatever they are now. Already, it holds special memories that she would not trade in for anything.]

[ramuhs]

[His own expression can't help but soften at that, and the warmth he feels has become so commonplace now yet still very much treasured as he feels similarly.]

[There's a more playful grin as he regards.]

Now, my turn?

[garudas]

['Their next adventure'. Who would have thought, but she is already looking forward to it anyway. And after a moment of looking over him fondly, a hand caressing his cheek, she motions to the small pile of gifts for him.]

Yes, which would you like?

[There's the box, a gift bag, and the velvet satchel.]

[ramuhs]

[Hmmmmmmmm. He eyes the gifts for a moment before he points to the gift bag.]
