A. An Infinite Dream

Kaveh's been good friends with this seamstress for a while now, so of course when she made a manta board posting, he was happy to show up to help. He did not exactly expect her to have multiple different dresses for him to wear, or hair extensions, or for her to then ask him to wear them at the cafe for extra advertising, but she did, and Kaveh can't say no to anything.

And so that's where you'll find him, at the seamstresses contemplating different high heels and accessories for his current fit.]

Hmm, do you think the black ones or the red ones?


B. Barenaked Birdies

[The cafe has a small problem. Just a slight one.

A bunch of bare-assed bird creatures REALLY like the warm atmosphere and foliage of the cafe, and so have gotten inside the cafe floor. For sanitary and sanity reasons, Kaveh's not particularly alright with this. So one may happen to chance upon the cafe with the doors wide open, a sign set out front saying they're closed, and Kaveh running around with a feather duster on a stick trying to chase these bare-assed birds outside.

It's not going particularly well for him.]

Go on! Shoo!

C. Cozy Winter Days

[Aside from the brief infestation, life goes on. The Cafe is doing surprisingly well, and Kaveh made several chess sets for the seating area after making one for Xehanort. Some of them are simple and elegantly designed, but some that he's made in a more...sleep-deprived state of mine are more eccentric, like the one with griffins and sacabampbapsis, or the one depicting weird mushroom creatures...

Mehrak is set up to play with guests if they can't find an opponent, so why not drop on by and while away the afternoon?]

[ Sherlock gives the griffin and sacabambaspis chess set a curious, somewhat concerned look. He hadn't seen this chess set before when he picked out his gift for Alhaitham. Had he given Alhaitham a gift he essentially already had? Was this stored somewhere he didn't see? He runs a finger over the head of a piece. Maybe his set being Kaveh-colored helped it not seem like an excess. Where even was it?

Then Sherlock sees Mehrak and decides that talking to her is a better use of his time than going over one of his many failings again. ]

Greetings, Miss Mehrak. I was unaware you knew how to play.

It's something I've been teaching her back home. She's not skilled enough for Alhaitham, though, so I thought I might let her practice with people here.

[Oh, hello, here's Kaveh! Who follows Sherlock's gaze to the chess set, and smiles.]

He keeps his favorite set at home, where only his favorite people can touch it.

[ Sherlock looks up, a bit of surprise on his face before he tamps it down. If there was any question remaining as to who left the gift, Sherlock might have made it plain to see. He hadn't realized he was broadcasting his thoughts so easily. ]

His favorite, Mr. Kaveh?

Why yes. He received a gift of a set he's very fond of, recently.

[Kaveh smiles a little slyly. Yeah, he knows what's up, sherry.]

[ He is not acknowledging that look! He's going to turn away and pretend like he had nothing to do with it. ]

Then it would stand to reason that he'd keep it someplace safer, where a piece may not wander off.

He's also quite possessive of the things he treasures...likely, he'd only want people he'd invite to touch it.

[Kaveh chuckles.]

If he asks you to come eat dinner, it is a pretense to play chess with him, for the record.

Whenever someone invites me somewhere, I can't help but wonder who has been murdered.

[ Sherlock's view on life is very skewed in strange ways, but that shouldn't be a surprise to Kaveh at this point. ]

He could simply ask me if I'd like to play. No need to hide it as something else.

Oh, he will. But since he worries about you, he will add the other things on to the excursion.

[Kaveh laughs a little bit.]

No one needs be murdered at all. We both enjoy your company.

[ Sherlock knew that Alhaitham tolerated his presence and would offer his thoughts on whatever they happen to be talking about. And he considered him a friend. However, Sherlock hadn't fully progressed those thoughts to Alhaitham being concerned over his well being. ]
