[Upon hearing about this "evil" Sacabambapsis, Cid was actually a bit disheartened to think that such a magnificent creature could even become darkened as such. He was also curious how large these fish really could be since he was more familiar with their smaller form. What if they were just misunderstood and could be taken care of instead!?

Okay, no, he wasn't that foolish, but the thought may or may not have crossed his mind.

Still, if it's a menace then it needs to be handled, and the glorious reputation of the Sacabambapsis must not be tarnished!

Utilizing the Hideaway crew's ship, the Enterprise II, he has picked up someone else who had decided on taking on the bounty, and he approaches them as the ship quickly cuts through the waves towards one location where the fish have been sighted.]

Hawks, was it? Before we reach our destination, we should firm up our plans.

Ah, I was more considering about that noise effect, but truly they do sound quite remarkable and useful.

[He grins as leans against the railing.]

Now I know this may sound sudden, especially since we just met. But if you have nowhere to go or need some...extra financial help, how would you feel about joining my crew? We take on all sorts of jobs, and it could tide you over unless you find someplace more suitable for your talents.

[ Hawks considers that, but no, he thinks that the noise effect in the caves wouldn't be so bad. He was just surprised, he can handle it. He's in noisy situations all the time. His handlers would have a fit if he couldn't handle this much. Well, more than they usually do. ]

You're the first one to ask me, honestly. Uh, only thing is that I tend to fly around a lot. I'm easy to get ahold of though, and I'm never out of my flight range so as long as that's not a problem then I don't mind. I'm not going to be listening to you or anything, just in case you were worried about that. [ He would be, but that's spy vs. spy nonsense. ]

I'm surprised, your skills are nothing to ignore and you seem to be a person of character. But it works out for me, I reckon.

But not to worry, my wife is a bit of a bird herself.

You don't even need to stay at our base, which you'll see once we arrive, and you are welcome to live whereever you are most comfortable. But it would be there along with our resources should you need it.

Oh, really? [ Hawks perks up. ] It would be nice to meet her then. [ So much bird bias. He just thinks birds are the best, sorry Cid. ]

Sure. I'm really not that picky. It's not like I picked my apartment at home either. The downside to this place is that when they have shower stalls they're so small. [ He might not love his Commission-issued apartment, but he misses the massive shower. ]

I'm not a freeloader, just tell me what you need and I'll take care of it. I like to help anyway.

Then it's fortune we have the best architect who could help with any renovations should you choose to stay... Though I am sure he would be eager to design a whole house if you let him.

[A wry grin as he thinks of Kaveh.]

Still, you should at least see for yourself and we can talk it over more while there so you would know what you are getting into.

Although we are registered as under the Corsairs, we have a mix with other Paladins in the ranks. Hopefully that's not an issue.

Sounds like a clever guy. [ Hawks doesn't really have those skills. ]

Yeah, let's check it out. [ As for the armada issue... ] Well, I'm a Paladin, but I'm not like employed by them or anything. I'm not the guy you want to come to if you want to do something illegal. Although, what even are the laws around here? [ That's kind of a problem. ]

As long as they're not like those assholes with their auction, then I don't foresee having too much of a problem. [ There's an edge to these words, for Hawks there's a bit of a personal sore spot there. ]

[There's something of a knowing grin as he waves a hand.]

Not to worry. While we may take...creative liberties on how things get done, we're more aligned to "just morals" than not. Did a few raids on those auctions myself.

Even at home I've known people on the other side. [ Villains, he means. ] Nothing is ever clear cut and black and white anyway, so I'm not really worried about it. If it comes about that we're not getting along, I'll leave. I don't have authority to make trouble anyway.

[ He smiles though, relieved at least they agree on the auctions. That just made him, in his opinion, irrationally angry. They didn't enjoy his wrath on that front. ]
