Who: Tifa Lockhart & Eustace.
Status: Closed.
Where: Ocard flower gardens.
What: Eustace and Tifa finally go on their first date.
Warnings: Dunno yet :D
[After talking about it and all the planning and the anticipation, one would think that all that preparedness would leave her feeling at ease about the whole thing, but now that the day is finally here... not even Tifa had expected herself to be as nervous as she was. It's not as if they haven't spent any time together before this, or hadn't been quite as close, but there's just something about it being a date now—officially, all of those times she's invited him to the bar or when she's visited his home on Nogard don't count—that has every nerve of hers on end.
Not in a bad way, but she is willing this to be as perfect as it can be and prays that nothing will go wrong. She hasn't forgotten what Ocard was like last year, and she hopes that the dragons are kind enough to leave the two of them alone to enjoy their picnic in the gardens in peace. That, and her excitement is buzzing, all of that pent up anticipation coming out of her in hastened footsteps and red cheeks by the time she finally does manage to find him.
She whirls around a tall hedge of rose bushes when she spots him, her dark, strawberry-printed dress flaring out around her as she clutches her small picnic basket close. Her heart leaps into her throat like this is the very first time that she's seeing him.]
Sorry...
[She wanders over with a sheepish smile, her face flushed with embarrassment, her eyes flitting to him and noting just how handsome he looks...]

Sorry...
[She wanders over with a sheepish smile, her face flushed with embarrassment, her eyes flitting to him and noting just how handsome he looks...]
This place is so big, I think I got a little lost.
no subject
Maybe they were moving a little quick there, but it didn't feel bad. It didn't feel anything but natural.
Which begs the question...]
... Did you not like it?
no subject
[He liked it quite a lot.]
...Perhaps too much.
no subject
[Her voice goes even quieter, if such a thing were even possible, and she has to bite down on her lip to stop herself from... smiling? Well, at least that means she had done something right? Because he certainly had...]
There's... nothing really wrong with that... is there?
[A pause, as she finally has the courage to meet his gaze.]
... It's okay.
no subject
No... I don't think you understand what I mean.
no subject
Her stomach keeps sinking and sinking with dread...]
Then... help me understand?
no subject
His expression hardens a bit as he tries to figure out how to say this, but in the end he can only let out a small sound of frustration.]
I don't want to go too far and hurt you.
no subject
[Is that what he was worried about?
Her brow furrows at him, and she falls silent for a moment in thought, her thumb still tracing idle lines along the inside of his wrist.]
... You didn't go too far, though. And if you did hurt me, I'd tell you.
[And now her cheeks flush a little deeper, and she lets her hair fall down from her shoulders to cascade over her face to hide it.]
I... didn't mind it at all.
no subject
...And he can't help but question those sudden urges from earlier, which felt too intense for the situation. Should he tell her? But what could he say that he doesn't know how to explain himself?
So he looks at her carefully, a different set of complicated feelings surging as he notes her flush cheeks and knowing that...well, she liked it. And he did, too, no doubt about that.
Slowly he tries to relax the tension that had been building.]
...What would be too much for you?
[Because it's clear that while kissing is enough for now, he can feel that greed and desire already starting to build in ways that almost disgusts him if only because they are just starting this relationship, and natural or not, he still respects her and is still trying to sort how deep his feelings go. Maybe he's old fashioned in that regard...]
no subject
What would be too much?
Everything that they had done so far had been... fine. Enjoyable. Nice. And if she's honest? She probably wouldn't have minded a little more of it. Just exploring and getting to know him on a more intimate level beyond just holding hands and the occasional kiss...]
I... don't really know how to answer that.
[That is the honest to god truth, and she meets his gaze with the hopes that he can see that.]
I guess I'll know when it happens...? But whatever we were doing just now, I... [Her breath hitches softly, and she feels embarrassed admitting it.] I would've liked more of it.
[But she knows that probably doesn't answer much, and she's trying to find the right words...]
You need to just trust that I will tell you if it is. And I know you'd do the same for me...?
no subject
...
But he doesn't want to ruin their date, and while it still troubles him she would trust him so much, again it does also reassure him some. So there will be a very small, faint smile as he continues to try and reconcile things with himself.]
Then...I'll trust you to do that.
[Even throw or punch him if those troubling fears are true. But maybe it won't be an issue and it was just a one off thing, especially now that he is more aware. And if it isn't a one off thing, he'll tell her then.
He leans back in, this time with a more relaxed air and gently kisses her.]
...Sorry.
no subject
She can tell that what she's said hasn't dissuaded him and that those thoughts still linger, but she will return the kiss anyway, and chase him for another at his apology, the second one softer and sweeter.]
Don't be.
[She encouraged it too, didn't she? She didn't stop him.]
Eustace, I want... [She pauses, taking yet another slow breath.] I want to get to know you better... in that way, too.
no subject
[A low murmur as he feels that desire grow again, but this time he's better prepared so that things still remain soft.]
But...might be better if we set our expectations. Regardless of how I might really feel in the moment, I still think we shouldn't...move too far without being ready for it. And I don't think I am just yet.
[A small moment as he tries to think of how to word what he's thinking.]
I just don't want to rush into things and it's all because my instincts took over... If that makes sense.
no subject
[That flush burns into her cheeks and her neck. Did he think that they were going to—!?]
I didn't think we were... I mean—that we would.
[It was just an intimate moment, or at least that's what it was to her. What she thought it was. Not once did she think that it would go any further than what they had done, and now she feels embarrassed about it.]
But you're right. I don't want to either. Move too far or too fast, I mean.
no subject
As long as we're on the same page, then it's fine.
no subject
[Her voice is soft but coaxing as she glances up at him through the hair draped in front of her eyes.]
That doesn't mean that I don't want to... you know...
[Oh gods, now she's overheating, and she wishes that she could swallow all of these words back up and push these thoughts down. How embarrassing... But she has come too far now, and maybe it would be good for him to know? Good for her to be honest about it if they're going to make this work?]
I just mean that... we shouldn't let it hold us back from... this...
no subject
I know.
[Yet his expression turns a little contemplative as he stares down at her.]
I just...would rather know the limits before instead crossing them.
[...]
Should we test it...?
no subject
... I wouldn't mind that.
[They're alone, it's quiet, they're surrounded by trees and water and the mossy rocks. There are even flowers in bloom. Not a soul near them, as far as she could tell, but no one has come by so far.
And once more, she whispers to him.]
It's okay.
no subject
Slowly he leans in closer, his lips brushing against hers.]
...You really sound too trusting.
[A low murmur before he's not kissing lips, but lower against her jawline and then slowly moving to the underside of her neck, instinct making him want to explore and feel her pulse. A place his eyes had kept drifting and being pulled to.]
no subject
[She would be more worried if she didn't.
She is a little taken aback when his lips roam further, past her jaw and to her throat, but it's not a... bad feeling. It makes that knot in her stomach tighten, like a coil slowly tensing with every pass his lips make over her, but her body welcomes it. She doesn't know what to do with herself, but she lets her own instincts take charge, her hands roaming over his front, exploring slowly and deliberately, like she intends to memorize every muscle, every inch of his skin...
She is careful, though. Careful not to cross boundaries or go too far, too fast. Her touch is shy, unsure, but only in the sense that beyond this, she doesn't know what to do.
And that's okay. She had wanted to know him first. To allow them to explore and learn each other in a way they haven't yet, and this seems—feels like a good place to start.
Good... as his mouth brushes over a particularly sensitive spot that makes her gasp, her fingers digging into his sides to stifle her reaction.]
no subject
But when she gasps, he stops for a moment and there is an unseen gleam in his eyes before his mouth moves over the spot again. Only this time it's a little firmer, instinct and that better understanding between them giving rise to both a confidence and want to do more. To... Push a little. Just a little, something that would be considered natural.
So after that firmer kiss and rub of his lips, she'll then feel them part for teeth to dig in next, every sense heightened to listen and feel her reaction.]
no subject
She arches gently beneath him in surprise, her head falling back with a soft moan, as a wave of heat ripples from the spot where his teeth gently bury into her flesh. He'll feel her pulse stutter and then race again, and her hands clutch at him, wrapping around him to his back where she spreads her fingers, her touch firm and experimental as she lets them run down the length of his spine and then back up again.
With a clouded head, she admonishes herself because what has gotten into her? If this is what it feels like, then she ought to be careful too, her own restraints being tested and pushed to their limits, and her curiosity growing.
Her lips brush against his ear now, so soft and so warm as she kisses along the edge of it, the urge to bury her face into his hair so strong. One hand does move out from beneath his shirt to caress it, running her fingers gently along the back of it as she whispers his name.]
no subject
And it's frankly intoxicating to him in this moment.
He doesn't know yet why it is, too caught up in the moment and that desire for more. A desire that swells and after leaving quite the noticeable mark, he slides down seeking another spot. No, even if he doesn't stumble on it, he'll do the same anyway, biting and leaving a trail as he slowly becomes overwhelmed by—well everything about her. Scent, taste, sound, touch. Even the glimpses of he flushed skin against the darkened marks stir more within him, and his hands will travel up her back and sides, skirting around her chest as he pushes her more against the rock wall while pressing forward again.]
no subject
A violent shiver hums beneath her skin when he pushes her back, her body melting and pliant under his grip that she simply falls against the rocky wall behind her. Her sarong falls away from her hips, the lazy knot coming undone and the soft, thin fabric sliding away to pool around her waist in the shallow water. Instinct lifts her hips up towards him, her body needing that heat that he gives off in droves, her hands now roaming over him, touching every inch of his back and his sides and arms that she can reach, skin needing skin like she needs air.
But when she does come up for air, her lips swollen and fallen open with shallow breaths, she pulls back enough to stare at him, a look of caution in her eyes, beneath the growing heat and intensity.]
This is... Are you...?
[Okay? She doesn't mean it in a way to stop them, but more to double check that they are not crossing any lines. It did get a little intense just now, if the way that she stares at him isn't obvious...]
no subject
How much further could he push? Could he touch? A war between reason and want that fortunately abruptly ends when she calls to him and pulls back, and for a moment...
For a moment his eyes are more focused on her lips, the taste of everything lingering along with her scent that is still wrapped around him line a fog. Even his gaze will seem u focused before he realizes and he blinks it away...
....
And then his eyes go to her neck, and while he did initially make the conscious decision, he hadn't quite... Intended...
......]
...We should stop here.
[There's still a heat in his gaze, something almost predatory like he still wants to consume her, but he's already forcing those impulses down.]
no subject
But she doesn't—she shouldn't. If they go any further, who knows what might happen, and if anything were to happen, would she really want it to be here? In the heat of the moment, she wouldn't have minded, but all of this is a little more precious to her than that, and she wants to handle it with more care than that.
Still, the way that he stares at her only makes that want stronger, and she gives one last press of her body to his before she's relaxing, the tense knot in her belly very slowly uncoiling, as she tries to catch her breath.]
Yeah. Maybe...
[She chews on her bottom lip, biting back a smile as her hands slide down his chest in search for his. And before he can start having any doubts—]
Whatever you were doing? [Ahhhh, she can't stop blushing!!!] ... It felt... nice.
