Who: Shadow the Hedgehog and anyone else!

I. Corsairs of Victory: Nikke!

A) [A crowd has started to form around the shooting range, around one particular individual who has been hitting all their shots. If there was one individual who exudes a gun ambassador, it was Shadow the hedgehog. Or should we say, the Ultimate Gun Ambassador? But he wasn't here in search for glory. He doesn't need to prove himself to anyone. He was seeking other talents that this world had to offer. Who else should he be aware of that knows their way around a gun? So far, he's been disappointed. It seems the most he'll get out of this is keeping his skills sharpen and learning how to use different kinds of pistols that exists in this world. As he empties another round from the provided pistol, he slides it over to one of the handlers, a hand extended for them to bring him something else. He's grown bored of that one. Give him their most tricky pistols to master. At least that might make things a little more interesting, until someone can prove they can hold a gun.]

B) Ask someone else. [Obviously with an impressive performance like that, he's going to end up with a crowd of people lining up to learn from him. His response is always the same. To shove it. If they need to ask him for help, they're already a lost cause. He huffs, growing tired of this needy crowd and starts to look for the exit. Even as the host runs up to stop him, telling him it's the ambassader's duty to train others.] I didn't agree to anything. [He's no one's ambassador, and this place has nothing else for him to offer.]

II. No Sin Unpunished - [Closed to Arlecchino]
[It seems there are still a few stray experiments left roaming about from the mad alchemist. Even a bounty has been placed on one of them. Interesting. Does all it can do is speak? Or is there something more to it that makes it worth being marked? Eitherway, it needs to be taken care of.

As night arrives, Shadow follows the trail of information he had been gathering or overheard. Though it feels like he's being led in circles. Was he getting closer or was it actually across town? A click of his tongue. It doesn't matter, he has all the time to locate it, if not tonight, than tomorrow night.] Which way? [He'll thrust a photo of the creature at the next person he comes across. If they don't know what he's talking about, he just keeps moving on without another word.]

[Joshua watches for a moment. But then he goes to follow to the open spot. The wooden targets are all hanging overhead.

Does this mean Shadow will give him a lesson?]

[Depends if he's got the talent for it or not.] Remove the safety and shoot. [Let's see what you got without any direction first.]

[Joshua at least tries to remember how to release the lock (do pirate pistols have safety locks idk) and he takes aim again.

His stance and posture are abysmal... So when he shoots the gun the kickback makes his arms snap upwards and he winces. It's much louder than he had been expecting as well.]

... Well then. [Looks like he'll need more lessons.]

[Some do! Something something about being "at half-cocked" or something. Anyway! He didn't have an set expectations, but he isn't surprised by the abyssmal performance. If they don't have the muscle memory for it, they wouldn't have the strength to handle the recoil.

He takes up an available pistol.] Hold it in both hands. [Main hand on the trigger, while the other hands supports as he demonstrates for Joshua. It may not be how many hold a pistol around here, but until he builds that strength, it will keep it more steady for him.] Don't have your legs so spread apart. You're not trying to fall.

[Joshua duck his head down and tries to correct his stance and his grip as Shadow says. He's a diligent student, at least.]

I hadn't expected just how loud a gunshot would be at point-blank range. It's jarring... Almost physical.

[It made his own heart race a little too fast. It's nerve wrecking.]

Is this better?

[So loud, one will start to hear it in their sleep. He looks over his stance. It's better, but clearly an unfamiliar position for the boy to be in.]

Don't shoot again until you feel ready. [...] Are you right-handed?

[Shadow... You okay? Are you dreaming of gunshots?]

I am.

[He will take that moment to catch his breath.]

[Every night.

He lifts his pistol for him to see again.]

Right hand, index over the trigger, left hand supporting underneath. [Shadow is ambidexterous, but tends to lean left dominant. So he might have shown Joshua how to hold it as a left-handed initially. He doesn't really teach and let people figure shit out, all right? But Joshua might feel a difference once he makes the adjustment.

He'll turn to take aim, firing a shot at his target. Another bullseye.]

[Joshua naturally flinches slightly at the noise of the gun going off but he sees the perfect shot and is actually impressed.]

Well then. I am blessed to have such a talented mentor.

[He then attempts to correct his hold. It feels slightly different. Joshua still continues with the instruction and once he's taken a moment he takes aim and shoots again. This time, Joshua is able to hit the wooden target. It's not a perfect shot but the slab of wood goes flying.]

....!!

[Each flinch, leaving him to question the boy's decision to do this. He says nothing to the compliment. There's nothing good about learning a weapon meant to kill.

He turns the gun in his hand as he watches Joshua take his shot. The wooden target is at least hit something this time.]

Don't lose focus. [Don't lose the feeling. It needs to be better than that, nothing to celebrate over yet.]

[There is something commendable about knowing how to use a dangerous weapon properly and with control, in his opinion.

Joshua takes a deep breath and attempts a second shot without another word. He does hit the target again. It seems he has an eye for accuracy, at least.

... His nerves, though. That is another question. He lowers the gun.]

I think I might take a short rest here, if you don't mind.

. . . [He sets his pistol down, turning his back to lean against the panel, observing Joshua. His relaxed posture and silence is telling enough that Joshua can rest.]

If your heart is not in it, don't force yourself. [Mistakes will only happen instead of the expected result.]
