Who: Hiro Hamada & Open
Status: Open
Where: Around
What: Catch-all for the month. Low battery Baymax hijinks, exploring underwater, etc.
Warnings: N/A for now but can add if necessary later.
Low Battery:
[It's rarer that it happens now, but still every so often that Baymax doesn't quite charge in time and Hiro has to deal with him acting like he's.....well. Drunk. (Thanks, Tadashi). Cue the tiny nerd struggling with the much bigger walking marshmallow of a robot, abandoning his attempt to stop and get supplies when Baymax starts acting odd. He's attempting to pull Baymax along, the robot greeting everyone and anyone he passes.]
Hello. I am healthcare. Hiro's personal Baymax companion.
[Hiro sighs, his free hand rubbing at his face. This was going to be a long trip back to his charger.....]
Sorry about him. He needs to be charged. Low battery.
Undersea Explorations:
[Hiro isn't quite used to this. The fins. But he had wanted to try to explore more. And some time outside, out of the workshop, would probably be good? Right? Getting some exercise? Explore, see what he could find down there. Baymax insists on accompanying him because the robot is well aware of how hopeless the teen is when out of his natural habitat of being surrounded by technology inside. Which is to say that. Well, now they have a whale Baymax? Along with Hiro trying to work out his new purple fins.]
This is....not the same as swimming with legs. But I guess this helps us get down further?
[Hiro muses, more to himself as Baymax chimes in that they might require a moment to adjust and learn to use these new....forms? He certainly would.]
Rifts:
Huh? Wait, that can't be.....? The cafe?
[Hiro should probably have learned to be more cautious with the likes of rifts or portals. But he can't help being curious, tempted as he thinks he sees the cafe where he lives with Aunt Cass. He rushes over to it without thinking twice, followed by Baymax, who reaches for the hood of his SFIT hoodie to try and stop Hiro. They both end up disappearing and ending up somewhere randomly.
That....is not San Fransokyo. Not home.
Oops???
Hopefully they didn't just. Barge into you there??]
Wildcard:
[ooc: If anyone wants something else with Hiro and the walking marshmallow??]

low battery 🔋
Hiro's personal Baymax companion, huh?
[He shoots the other boy a grin.]
How do you charge him up, anyway?
no subject
[It sure made it easy to tell. When he needed to be charged. But it was a pain then to get Baymax to the charger. Hiro sighs as Baymax stops to wave to another little girl walking by staring at him.]
I had to work with Turo to come up with something that would work here.
no subject
[Sora chuckles again. Baymax is like a slowly deflating balloon.]
But at least you figured out a way to charge him up?
[Tech advancements aren't the greatest in this world, so it's good to know that Hiro figured out something.]
no subject
[Still, Hiro nods. It had taken a bit, some adjusting, and figuring things out for something that would work here. But he had managed with help. Otherwise if he hadn't figured a way to charge Baymax, he'd have left the robot in the charging case until he had figured it out.]
But yeah. Just had to figure something that would work here, is all.
no subject
[Sora tilts his head.]
So what do we have to do then? What do we do to get him charged up?

well, for a moment. as mr. marshmallow is pulled away from kit a moment later, and he realizes he's not under attack, his attention turns to the boy next to it with a slightly cautious look. ]
Battery...?
[ this thing runs on electricity? kit peers up at it again with wide eyes. ]
no subject
[Because. No. We do not talk about that one moment where the opposite was true and Hiro ordered Baymax to harm Callaghan. Generally, that aside, Baymax was harmless and just wanted to help everyone. He was just big. So Hiro could see how, if not used to robots, to that size, that it might be a little intimidating?]
My brother Tadashi made him. He's a healthcare companion. Helps people when they're hurt or sick.
no subject
[ made by tadashi, huh? kit peers up at the big marshmallow for a moment, thinking for a moment that they have that in common—he was made with a purpose to support someone too. perhaps not in the same way as this one was though.
give him a moment to frown over that, and he'll turn his attention back to hiro. ]
Are you a... a riftfarer?
[ he seems a bit hi-tech for this place... ]
no subject
[That much was probably pretty obvious. Given Baymax. Hiro's clothes did not necessarily fit in, depending on whether he was wearing his SFIT hoodie and sneakers. Still, he tries to reassure the other that it was safe. Baymax was harmless and wouldn't hurt him. Baymax waves at someone else walking by, and Hiro keeps hold of the robot so he doesn't wander off away from the direction he needs to go to get back to charge him.]
no subject
S-sorry... Um, if you're busy, you can g-go...
[ you know, if he wants to. kit's curiosity does not outweigh the importance of charging the marshmallow. ]

joining the Low Battery train
[Compared to the usual metal forms that she's used to seeing on robots. But if he was battery powered... must be a robot. She thought the puffy guy looked cute. That was definitely an improvement to most robots from her world.]
everyone wants to laugh at low battery totally not drunk Baymax. thanks Tadashi.
[Hiro was working on upgrades, a new suit for Baymax here. But, well. Shopping for supplies and snacks was kind of cut short thanks to his buddy being on low battery. Hiro keeps a hold of Baymax's 'hand' when he almost gets distracted by a wandering cat.]
Hairy baby!
[Hiro groans, rubbing at his face with his free hand.]
Baymax, no. We're not following the cat, so you can sit and pet it for an hour.....
ofc it's hilarious
[Aerith giggled at Baymax.]
'Hairy baby'... well, that's one way to describe a cat.
Do you need any help with him? [a pause] Do you use some sort of magic to charge him here?
[She hadn't seen any recognizable batteries in this world but maybe there were some sort of magictech equivalent that she hadn't seen yet?]
It is. Bless Tadashi for programming him to act drunk when low battery lol
[He explains, agreeing with her assessment. It is not inaccurate, after all. Hiro himself had described Baymax as a walking marshmallow when he had first met. Still, he chuckles about the cat, keeping hold of Baymax's hand so he doesn't wander off after said cat.]
Y-yeah. He did that with Mochi back home, too. Hairy baby. I did have to uh, adapt things so he could charge here. Yeah. Otherwise, it wouldn't have worked with his charger from home.
no subject
[He had said it was for a robotics class, but considering Baymax was with him now she was curious if that was always intent once finished.
She nodded at his explanation on how to adapt to this world for charging the robot.]
I thought so. I haven't seen anything comparable to robotics around here that wasn't magic run instead. Except for things that come from other worlds or created by people from other worlds. [Like Baymax and Robotnik's machines.] Would you like help getting him somewhere to charge?

Rifts
Since he was trying to nap, he was dressed down in a pair of black pajama bottoms and a tank top, which exposes the werewolf scars he has on his shoulders. And he's more muscular than one would think, given he's usually wearing baggy clothes and bomber jacket.]
Wha? Hiro? What are you doing here?
no subject
[Hiro stops as Baymax pulls at his hoodie, trying to avoid the tiny nerd getting skewered by the sword. His hands raised in a surrendering motion, showing he was harmless and meant no harm. Note to self. Do not disturb Nico when he is napping or sleeping. Got it.]
Apologies. We do not mean to disturb you. Hiro thought he saw his home. I followed to make sure he was safe. This is not the Lucky Cat Cafe. This is not San Fransokyo.
no subject
[That sounded San Francisco and Tokyo smashed together. Maybe he misheard.
He puts the sword back down and sits on the bed cross-legged, studying the other boy for a moment.]
Your Aunt ran a cafe?
no subject
[Hiro says, not thinking much of the other, seeming maybe a little confused over the name of his city. It was a little different. The history of the earthquake and the rebuild, and all. Which may not have happened for Nico, or anyone else here. Hiro is the only one from home left here, after all.]

Nico hums as he imagines it.]

It might not be so for any unexpected company.
Fortunately - he's fast. ]

Wha -- ah! Baymax?!
no subject
What are you doing up here? [ He can't help but ask, but Baymax is bulky, awkward. A couple of feathers will zip in beneath Baymax to help support him as he gently brings the pair down on the ground. ]
no subject
No idea. It felt like....I thought I saw the cafe, back home. And then I was up there somehow.
[Baymax still holds to the teenager, wanting to keep Hiro safe. He isn't too heavy, more his size, that huggable design is sort of awkward unless as something to land on, which Hiro has done.]
We did not expect to be here. Apologies for startling you. And thank you for the assistance.
no subject
Once they're on the ground he lands too. ]
