[She moves her head just slightly so that she can look at him, a confused wrinkle between her brow.]

What do you mean?

[There's a small, playful smile along with a playful tap and brush of his tail.]

Othet reasons why you're glad we met.

[starshower]

Oh. [A pause, and she grins.] No, just so that you could carry me around as a little sea bunny.

[But she gives him a little tap on the nose.]

Of course there are plenty of other reasons, silly. Too many to list, honestly, but if you wanna hear them...

A few wouldn't hurt.

[Though they could be here all day if she actually tried so—]

How about top three?

[starshower]

[They really would.

But now that she's being put on the spot for real and not for play—or at least, she thinks it isn't for play, she is taking this very seriously!—she can feel her heart beating just a little quicker, and her skin buzzing with a warm nervousness.]

I can't pick just three. I like all of the reasons equally...!

[Which means that there is no such thing as a top three. Rather, the three that come to mind first.]

I'm glad we met because... no matter what we're doing, I always have a lot of fun with you, and I'm always happy to be around you. Whether it's fighting with you or doing something relaxing.

Because you not only keep me safe, but... you make me feel safe. Like I can be myself around you. That I don't have to worry so much about what you think of me.

[There are still some things that she thinks about once in a while—things that still do worry her, but that's for another day.]

And because... I could experience something special with someone that not many people can say that they have.

[His smile widens bit by little bit as she speaks. In some ways he already knew these things, especially since she's said it all in some effect in the past. But there are some parts he didn't know, such as that she felt she could feel like she could be more herself around him. It's something that makes him feel glad for, that she could feel that comfortable around. Especially given how they were in the past, consciously aware of the other and he made her before.

But her last one is a bit vague, so he cants his head in curiosity.]

Mm-hm.

[She gives a nod, and her forehead rests against his, along with a subtle brush of their lips together.]

Meeting someone from a completely different world and, over the course of a year, becoming friends with them, and eventually... falling in love...

[flamekthunder]

[Ah...

His eyes shine a little at that.]

...True. Not something many can really say to that. And I'm also grateful for that as well.

[starshower]

It's been almost two years, you know.

[She leans in to kiss him softly.]

... Pretty crazy when you think about that.

[flamekthunder]

Honestly...it is.

[He welcomes that kiss and returns it with one of hi sown.]

I know I never would have thought I'd be in a place like this with someone else.

[Especially with the risks...it's one of the reasons he had been hesitant and a bit distant.]

[She feels the same. She's seen friends come and go so often, especially recently, that it's always something in the back of her mind, but... her life would be so much sadder here if it were not for the fact that they still took that risk anyway. And she's happy that she did—happy that she took hold of that happiness regardless of them. Even if they were to disappear tomorrow, she could at least say that they were happy in the time that they did have, rather than regretting not taking it at all.]

A place like this...

[She murmurs it softly against his lips.]

You think we should head somewhere else now?

[flamekthunder]

Thought you were the one who said we could stay here.

[A light smirk as his eyes gaze down at her with that familiar heat, not bothering to hide the want and affection behind it.]

And we did... for a while.

[She closes her eyes and lets out a deep sigh, her heart melting under the heat in his gaze and the rush of feelings all of these thoughts have given her.]

But you were right... I'd rather not wait to thank you properly.

[flamekthunder]

Too impatient to wait to return to the surface?

[He says.

While his tail brushes against hers.]

[starshower]

[She taps her finger against the center of his chest, pressing her lips together shyly.]

... Well, I could always thank you again when we get up there. I do owe you quite a bit, don't I?

[flamekthunder]

[There's a quirk of his lips for a light smirk that forms at her answer.]

So what kind of "place" do you want?

[starshower]

Hmm... Somewhere a little more private? Not sure where...

[flamekthunder]

I saw an inn not too far from here... But there's always somewhere outside the village.

[Well they've already done it outside, what's so different about out in the ocean—if she felt that bold, anyway.]

[starshower]

[Maybe she's not feeling that bold, so she clears her throat, feeling her face growing warmer and redder again.]

... Maybe an inn would be better? You know, so we could get some proper rest, too?

[Ahem.]

[There's a quiet chuckle at that before his smile softens a bit.]

Sure, we can do that.

[And he'll sneak a kiss, his lips lightly brushing against hers.]
