The two take direction from Kieran well, who runs them through a series of drills before beginning their mock battle against some makeshift training dummies that have a few sketch drawings of angry Pokemon faces stuck to them. A light sprinkle of rain begins to inexplicably fall around them as Politoed's Drizzle effect is activated, but Dragonite seems to anticipate it. And rather than fight each other, the two seem to fight in tandem, Dragonite making use of the rain to fire off Hurricane and Thunder attacks on the dummies while Politoed uses the rain to fire water-type Weather Balls at the same dummies.]
[All while the training is going on, Kieran's demeanour changes. Rather than the somewhat shy and friendly face he usually is, when undergoing his drills he's much more confident, giving directions with all the conviction and anticipation of a seasoned veteran. While he may not have the same single-minded drill sergeant mentality from his Champion days, he still retains that competitive edge that comes with the thrill of a good battle. When the drills are gone through, Kieran will call over Politoed and Dragonite, giving them both some well-earned pats on the head and snout for their efforts.]
