Pokemon Training
[Even though this is a new world with not a lot of Pokemon in it, Kieran still wants to make sure his Pokemon are on their A-game, and that includes training. While he isn’t training to the same extreme levels as he used to back when he was the Blueberry League Champion, he still wants to keep his Pokemon in fighting form, especially since this world has shown it’s got its fair share of challenges already.]
[So whether it’s on Hero’s Rest or just an open area on Eltrut or Nogard, Kieran can sometimes be found with his Pokemon in tow, going through different battle drills, exercises, and mock fights to test their skills.]
Alright, Politoed and Dragonite’re up next! You know what to do!
[He’s a lot more focused when he’s undergoing these drills, and speaks much more confidently as he directs his Pokemon through the drills. He might also not notice anyone approaching, so you may need to make your presence known before he acknowledges you.]
Eltrut Snap!
[Taking photos seemed like an easy task, and he knows Mr. Kaveh is a friendly sort, so of course Kieran wants to help! However, after being given the bulky camera box, he can be found looking it over like it’s some kind of super-computer or something.]
Wait… how’s this supposed to work again..?
[He’s looking over the camera very carefully… but then he presses a button and snaps a photo right in his face. He yelps, before rubbing his eyes.]
Geez… And I thought the Rotom phones were hard to use…
Perfect Pastures
[Simple, honest work like this is right up Kieran’s alley; coming from a small village where farming is quite prevalent means Kieran’s quire adept at taking direction and helping out where he can. While he’s not exactly a carpenter, his rudimentary woodworking skills mean he’s pretty familiar with working with wood and with building things, so he can be quite reliably assist with the building of fences for the animals. And once the]
[However, once it’s time to actually bring the animals to the enclosures? That’s when Kieran becomes utterly distracted. He stares at the cows and chickens and pigs, staring at them wide-eyed like it’s his first time seeing them. Which… it actually is, funnily enough.]
These’re the animals that’re bein’ brought in? Wowzers… They all look so weird.
[He’s absolutely fascinated by them, especially when he gets the opportunity to pat one of the cows.]
You’re called a cow? Heheh, you look like a funny-lookin’ Miltank!
The Things We Do For Cheese
[The lure of a legendary treasure lost somewhere in the mountains is something that draws Kieran’s curiosity big-time, and is what eventually draws him to the quest. However, while he’s quite familiar with scaling up Oni Mountain in the middle of the night back home, climbing up the foggy cliffs of Nogard’s mountains is a bit different, and is what causes him to frown.]
You gotta watch yer step, the path’s kinda narrow here.
[While they make their way up, though, Kieran can’t help but let his curiosity wander.]
So… what kinda treasure do ya think’s up here?

LET ME GO IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU! LET ME GO! LET ME GO!
[ someone has a set of pipes on them, strings of electricity crashing down towards a tree, splitting it in two and others striking up causing the air around both her and dragonite to grow hotter. she may be small, but she does have quite the fuse that's going off as her energy spreads from herself to consuming the dragonite too as long as he holds onto her.
she doesn't seem to care what happens, her energy violently lashing at whatever it touches and destroying what it does. various people have started to leave the area, tripping and rushing off to safety in order to avoid the lightning strikes that narrowly misses them. as everyone is on the move, one older gentleman notice both kieran and kitsunami, rushing over to them both.
"you both have to leave, this is stated as an emergency!" the helpful and could be sacrificed npc warns them, one hand coming to kieran's wrist to pull him along until out the corner of his eye he's witness to the overwhelmingly terrifying display of kitsunami's abilities. he jolts, releasing the trainer in fear of his life, turning around to avoid whatever it is going on. ]
UNHAND ME! YOU'RE BOTH UP TO SOMETHIN'!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
[ both her hands come up to her head, stressing how much this is getting to her, and it's not like she hasn't been up in the air. what is this whole pokemon thing, she is not that, she will not be someone's possession, it's causing her to grow even more wild as her eyes start emitting sparks, glitching in and out not out of failure, but the amount of energy she's forcing out at one time.
someone better be lucky it's not raining! ]

She's gonna hurt someone! I had to do somethin'!!
[There's too many people, and when that older gentleman tries to tug on Kieran's sleeve, Kieran shakes his head and tugs his arm free before looking desperately at the scene. Something has to be done; Dragonite can only take so many attacks. Politoed's out of the question; even with a Wacan berry there's too much electricity, and Drizzle will make things worse. Incineroar's tough but built more for support, and Furret's not a strong enough fighter. And Hydrapple's not super fast, but...]
[An idea strikes him. It's risky, and absolutely ridiculous, but it might work. Kieran quickly looks up at Dragonite.]
Dragonite! Bring 'er down an' move 'er away from the people, quick!
[Dragonite, who's been doing his best to hold on despite the constant point-blank electric shocks, roars in understanding before diving down; not to slam her into the ground, but rather to fly her over to the trees, away from the people. Reaching for his side, he throws another Pokeball.]
Dragonite, bring 'er to Hydrapple! Hydrapple, hold 'er!
[In a flash, the multi-headed apple dragon appears, emitting his super-sweet syrupy scent. Seeing the strategy, Dragonite will angle over to Hydrapple, and if all goes well, they'll attempt to hold Surge against the sticky syrup of Hydrapple's giant apple.]
[Will this help hold her long enough for Kieran to explain things? Will this plan even work??]

No!
[ dragonite is following kieran's orders faithfully, but kit doesn't know what kieran is trying to do to her. streams of water shoot through the air, aiming to knock dragonite out of it—aiming to knock surge free of its grasp. and if that fails? if dragonite really does manage to reach hydrapple, that sticky substance preventing surge from moving any further?
then kit turns to kieran instead, eyes glowing a brilliant fuschia, his small figure looming over the pokemon trainer's. ]
LET. HER. GO.

everything goes still, her limbs, herself, and the only thing left is her head which is sticking out without any issues, but the amount of electricity that's trying to leak from her body barely makes it through the substance. it runs off her head, off her ears, the tip of her nose trying to spark the one dragon she's been placed into.
she's so frustrated with what's happening here and her eyes closed too that she's not focusing on what's happening outside of her problem. ]
WHY CAN'T I MOVE!! GET IT OFF!!!

[Without the angry Cyndaquil in hand (or is it more like a Zapdos??), Dragonite turns back to his trainer and, seeing the blue Fennekin (Vaporeon??) trying to attack his trainer, he rumbles before stomping down beside Kieran, standing ready to fight. Kieran has a hand over his belt, ready to call another Pokemon, but he hesitates before doing so. Kitsunami's countenance scares him, especially since he looks so menacing, but after swallowing a lump in his throat, he musters his courage to speak up.]
Dragonite, wait! [Dragonite, ready to attack the threat to his trainer, lets out a confused rumble while looking at Kieran, but Kieran keeps talking to Kit.] Look, I'm sorry for doin' all this! She was gonna hurt someone and I wanted her to stop! I'll let 'er go, but you gotta promise not to hurt anyone! There was a misunderstandin'! None of us're gonna hurt you, just please, let us talk about it!
