</lj-raw>Welcome to Marrow Isle's first-ever Pokemon center!

Since Pokemon began arriving to the island over three years ago, in most cases they needed to make due with regular doctors or veterinarians for their medical needs. However, one moon elf by the name of Cressida Joy who was already studying to be a nurse decided to pivot her career path in the twilight of her studies. With the support of Meowth and Spinel of the <a href="NAV_LINK">Crows,</a> and the help of her Chansey companion, Nurse Joy was able to make her dream come true and tend to the medical needs of Pokemon across Marrow Isle.

Pokemon have lived on Marrow Isle as companions and helpers for several years now, but recent arrivals from the world of their origin have clued the town into their untapped potential for sports and spectacle! Come on out and have a look at all the cool things your little friends are capable of!

<div style="box-sizing:border-box;width:100%;padding:4%;border-radius:12px;background:#fff;"></lj-raw>The first activity available to participate in is the Contest, a demonstration of your Pokemon's unique personal charm. Pokemon and their Coordinators will pair up and face off to impress a panel three judges. Starting off with the appeal round, each pair must attempt to show off their most dazzling moves while still keeping the spotlight on the Pokemon themselves to make a good first impression. Then round 2 is a series of tournament battles based on appeal points where you score by making your own Pokemon look spectacular, but can lose points if you get one-upped or made to look uncool. The Coordinator is expected to wear a costume, so dress to impress, but don't outshine your partner! Winners receive a commemorative and coveted Ribbon, as well as bragging rights. Contests are most often MC'd by Ribbit and may sometimes be held at Lotus Hall, and have a rotating cast of judges: Meowth, Spinel, Pomni, and Nurse Cressida Joy of the Marrow Isle Pokemon Center. <lj-raw></div></fieldset>

<fieldset style="box-sizing:border-box;flex:1 1 46%;min-width:250px;padding:0;margin:0;display:flex;flex-wrap:wrap;align-items:stretch;border:0;">

</lj-raw>The cousin to Contests, Showcases are scored by audience vote. Human (or at the very least, non-Pokemon) contestants are called Performers in this case, and can use more than one of their Pokemon at a time. Round one is themed around a different activity for each showcase and will very from one show to the next, but are often things like cooking challenges, game shows, and crafts. While winning this challenge is ideal, charming the audience by whatever means necessary is the true goal. Then, the second round is freestyle, where Performers and their teams will attempt to put on the biggest spectacle they can! Set to music, you'll use Pokemon moves, perform feats, and dance your way to success along with your Pokemon as a team! And this time, you're not the only one expected to wear a costume— you'll need to dress your Pokemon up as well! (We're sure Sunflower Boutique wouldn't mind lending a hand.) Lotus Hall often hosts these as well. Winners receive a decorative key!<lj-raw>

</lj-raw>The main event. This is the primary reason why the arena was created: to host Pokemon Battles. Using moves learned over the course of their lives and training by their human (or human-like) companions, Pokemon duke it out in teams of up to six! Both single and double battles (one or two Pokemon at a time) are available, and the arena can be used for single matches or tournament-style brackets that are either participant-organized or organized by the arena staff themselves. In order to participate, you will need to have your team thought out in terms of members, moves, abilities, and levels to some extent. While much of it can be handwaved, simulators like Showdown can be used to determine battle outcomes more immersively! Links below! <lj-raw>
