[ Before joining Zack anywhere, G'raha leans over a little further. Gives the man an affectionate bump of foreheads. Definitely like a cat to have such a gesture, right? ]
If you didn't like it, you would have chased me out by now.
[ It's already too late for you, Zack. This one has gotten quite cheeky.
Though now Raha decides to settle, but not before giving one last big stretch. Arms locked behind him, over his head and leaning back. Legs stretched out as far as they can go in front of him. And then he is done, rolling into the spot that Zack has left for him. ]
[Zack is a little surprised at the forehead bump. He wasn't expecting that. And he wasn't expecting how cute and wholesome that would be or how it makes his chest feel tight. Wow.
... And Zack's staring again as G'raha gives a big stretch and curls up right next to him.
Zack turns his head to look at G'raha. His expression is amused with a mixture of uncertainty.]
Damn. How did I get so lucky to get someone like you right here?
[ Imagine meeting someone and just liking them. Their near daily conversations even over the communication devices have only served to make G'raha grow more fond. The man really does have a good heart and is... Nearly as selfless as Raha himself is.
That makes it okay to be a little selfish, right? To seek this and to try to have it? To nurture and watch what it will grow into?
He's smiling himself, right up until that last question/statement. ]
Lucky? 'Tis I that should consider himself lucky. You are a good man, Zack Fair. I am only delighted that we've grown as close as we have these last few moons.
[He's still not sure he deserves someone as amazing as G'raha is. He's never met someone who's grabbed his attention this fast before. Who's made him think about his life and the direction that it's gone? Made him want to grab onto something, be vulnerable, and be accepting of what's happened or hasn't happened. He still has some dark things to tell G'raha about himself. But even then he feels like it wouldn't be a difficult thing to share. At least. He hopes.
He quirks a grin in return and shifts so he can grab an arm around G'raha and so he can scoop him closer.]
You know, it just proves it right there. When you say I'm a good man, I can believe it. This is just lucky, then. This right here. I'm okay with this right here.
[ He asks this question, for two reasons. He can understand not wanting to believe it. To deny goodness within. Guilt being the root cause of it. As Raha is held closer still, the other reason he asks... He wants to reassure Zack. Help him to believe it because no matter how dark the past might have been, Raha just knows that here were other circumstances.
A hand goes to Zack's cheek. G'raha's tail wraps about a leg. ]
Good, I should think. I am... Quite please with this. With you.
[ Ah, so that's it. Not being enough. Oh that is a feeling G'raha knows all but too well. All of the skills he has accumulated, all of the knowledge... It's because he believes he needs to be enough. To be worthy of sacrifices made on his behalf. ]
"That's all." While I am far too tired and now warm to question...
[ There's a yawn and G'raha is closing his eyes. Sleep is staring to settle in again. ]
Sometimes it is like that, but... You are enough, I've found.
[Zack lets a laugh rumble through his chest. And he's just going to scoop G'raha to him a little closer. Hmm. Warm is right. Bed is warm. Cat boy is warm. This is enjoying life.]
Thanks, glad to hear it. [He smiles quietly in the darkening room.] Let's get some more sleep.
[No more talk about that for now. Sleeping is good.]

You know. Twist my rubber arm. It means I'm easy to convince because you can twist my arm easily.
[It's a stupid saying, he knows.]

He leans back and towards Zack, tail whipping about on the bed. ]
Not entirely accurate, is it? Depending on the durability and strength of the rubber, one will find that it will be a struggle to bend it at all.

Now you're just being smart for the hell of it.
[Zack laughs and shifts so that there is enough room for G'raha to join him.]

I've tried to believe it in the past. But sometimes being good wasn't good enough. That's all.
[Try as Zack had to be as good as he could be and to do the right thing for the people who needed him... Being good wasn't enough. He still failed.]
It's okay.

He feels himself being pulled against Zack more. And before he even thinks about it too much, G'raha nuzzles under that chin and quietly rumbles.
