Garden work is not Katsuki's first go-to. Given choices there are a lot of things he'd rather do than garden. But how is he going to pass up getting his hands on some hybrid fruits and vegetables? He's interested in seeing how the flavors and textures change from being mixed and so here he is, out in the dirt. Digging and planting and watering.

He's got little markers in the dirt to indicate where he wants each crop to go and he's got it all planned out how he wants his little plot to be set up.

So feel free to join him. Just don't mess up his plans. Or... do mess up his plans. Just be prepared for his reaction if he catches you!

The absolute best way to get Katsuki Bakugou to do anything is to infer he can't. And that is exactly how he ended up taking up this challenge. When he arrived for the challenge and heard that it was supposed to be done naked he was positive it was some kind of dumb prank. So he was ready to pass until one of the senior paladins commented that he 'must not be capable of completing the challenge'.

"Like hell am I incapable! I'll show you!"

Is what can be heard before he's stripping naked and going to sit under the waterfall.

It's absolutely freezing and Katsuki hates the cold. But he will sit there and shiver and his teeth will chatter and he will glare through it all. Because like hell is he giving up!

Good news, Katsuki! You won't have to suffer through this by yourself. Misery does love company, after all. Bad news...

"Not doing too hot over there?"

... It's Ranma who also heard of the challenge and took it head on. Unlike Katsuki though, he didn't need to be goaded into participating. This was basic endurance testing he's done since he was little. Sure, this might be a Paladin-hosted event but everyone else is either busy battling the frigid waters, assisting the competition and make sure they don't suffer too badly from the cold, or had the bright idea to not debase themselves and sit under a waterfall.

So no one else'll pay much mind to the short redheaded girl, sitting comfortably as the water ran down her, completely stark naked without any trace of embarrassment. If you think Ranma's going to have a sense of feminine modesty in her cursed form, you don't know Ranma all that well.

"S-shut up! I'm doing just--"

Oop. Water just went up his nose and he gurgles and coughs, his head pushing out a little further to try to not drown as he coughs and chokes for a minute. He already looks like a drowned rat though, blonde hair matted down by the water, dripping everywhere as he glares daggers at Ranma.

One of the paladins hosting this thing gets reasonably concerned at the choking and makes the mistake of trying to help.

"I said I'm fine!"

[It might not be the most conventional thing to do together so that's why Izuku approaches Katsuki in the cottage that day a little shyly. He comes up to him with something he's holding hiding behind his back.]

Ne, Kacchan? Are you busy? There was something I wanted to ask you to do with me.

[He's smiling a bit although he does look a smidge nervous. Just a tad.]

[Katsuki is lounging around in the living room when Izuku approaches him. He notes the hands behind Izuku's back and the nervous smile.]

...Depends what you're about to ask, nerd. What's up?

It's- It's nothing special.

[Izuku pretends to give a small shrug and then he pulls out a few bottles of nail polish that he had been holding behind his back.]

I was wondering if you would like to paint ... each other's nails? [He quickly adds,] It's alright if you don't want to! I was only thinking that it might be fun to do. I've seen a lot of other boys wearing nail polish around Eltrut and it seems like it's part of the fashion here. Maybe it has something to do with pirates... But I ... I was thinking it might look good on you.

[It'll totally look good on Katsuki.]

[Katsuki never would have guessed nail polish was the answer to what was behind Izuku's back. He has seen men wearing nail polish around. And besides, he's comfortable with his masculinity.

He sits up from where he's lounging and stares at the nail polish for a moment, arms resting on his knees as he leans forward.]

If I agree, you better be able to do it with a steady hand.

[Well, that's not a no! Izuku beams.]

Think of it as training, Kacchan! You need a strong and steady hand to be able to paint neatly!

[He smiles...!!!]

I have a few colours... Black. Orange. Green?

That's not a confirmation that you've got a steady hand.

I'll let you paint mine black.

[You gave him the choice, Izuku.]

[NO HE'S GETTING GREEN]

Erm... It might be easier for me to train my own hand to stay steady if I used black and green.

[Yeah, okay that makes perfect sense.]

What the hell is the logic in that?? It's my nails. I get to pick. I pick black. You can have green on yours.

But I was going to wear orange...

[Oh. Hang on. He gets it.]

...You wanna wear each other's colors?

[Yes.]

If you don't want to, I'll be fine with wearing green...

No. You're wearing orange, damn you.

[Excuse you, Izuku.]

I'll wear green. But next time just be up front about this shit.

[He holds out his hands.]

[There. That worked exactly how he had hoped. Katsuki will never know that Izuku intended that exactly.]

Hm! I will.

[He's smiling again and he comes to sit down next to Katsuki. He takes out the bottle of green first. He takes Katsuki's first hand and ponders how to start... Izuku's gentle as he starts to slowly paint the pinky finger.]

I'll have to take my time...

You better. Don't fuck it up.

[Katsuki sits still and watches Izuku work. Hey, he's getting his hand held. Who's really the winner here?

Exactly. Checkmate.]

Why didn't you just say upfront you wanted me to wear your colors anyway?

[He has to admit the black polish would look very good on Katsuki too... But he's happy about the green.

Katsuki's question makes him slow down a bit. He tries not to jolt.]

I ... I didn't want to be obvious about it. That's all? Or if you thought it was uncool...

[Katsuki studies him.]

The nail polish or it being your colors?

[He wants to know what's going through Izuku's head.]
